Sorry it's been so long.....
Comments (36)You all have been so great and such a comfort. Thanks for all your good thoughts and sunflowers. Since I haven't been at work and don't have a 'puter at home, I have been posting from the Hope Lodge when I'm here. Have the pre-op exam tomorrow and will (hopefully) get the surgery date then. I'll try to go to work a few hours next week and will check back then. Have the tree up and some decorating done. Radiation went very well until the last two days of it, then the side-effects really settled in. After having 51 years of a VERY VERY full head of hair, I can now wash it with a washcloth! Wasn't prepared for that since even with brain radiation, you don't always lose your hair. But I was given a nice wig and it has an upside - the clerk at the store I usually shop at didn't know who I was, the manager at Hope Lodge didn't know who I was, and one of the guests here thought I was my daughter! Should have shaved my head and gotten a wig years ago. To all the "old-timers" and the newcomers, happy holidays!!!...See MoreBee - I've been away for a week or so
Comments (2)Hi Prill, I guess you mean the laundry room floor. Well, I'm not sure how much you are up to speed, but the tile is down, now grouted, and sealed. All the woodwork has been cut and is ready to be nailed into place....but then the pneumatic nailer failed. So, hopefully by tonight the woodwork will be up and the w/d will be back in place. I haven't taken any more photos, since, it looks the same with and without grout on camera. I will post photos just as soon as I get that woodwork up! (and before the w/d go into place). Let me know if you didn't see the picture of the tiles before the grout. (hate to bore the crowd with repeated photos) -Bee...See MoreHi all, I'm baaaaack!!! (long)
Comments (11)Definitely don't talk with ANYONE else about this - even family. OK, family is alright but keep it meek and mild. If you decide to go after them, they may try to intimidate your friends/family. It can be VERY difficult to win a harrassment case. Read and understant the laws and like everyone said, get a good atty that specializes in such cases. What you don't want to happen is rejection when you try to find another job. This will scare the heck out of them. If you go on interviews, keep cool and calm and only speak the facts, IF ASKED. Have you quit yet (don't remember)? If you still have your job, unless you are specialized, they can't just fire you because of your injury. They would have to offer you another job commensurate with you abilities (physical ones based on your injury), if you can't continue in your current position. Some of this depends on the laws in your jurisdiction. If that happens, start looking for another job. It's easier to find a job if you have one. Also, watch your actions while you are not at work. I've know WC attnys to follow people to deny claims. I wish you the best kiddo. I'm not trying to scare you but this type of situation is very serious. You probably have a strong case, but of course it is easier said than done. A friend of mine retired from being working on such cases - she worked for the Office of Civil Rights. You would be surprised at how certain things can help your case. You may want to start a journal becaus there will be a lot of questions you will need to answer and you may not remember everything at will - especially how you were feeling on certain days. AND, by all means, don't go back to their counselors. Get your own - that may work in your favor too. Good luck and don't sweat it - let the lawyers do that. gng...See MoreI've been away to long
Comments (3)Belle, your so sweet. Whats going on that you haven't painted anything besides your ornaments in a year? Yep, you know me, Jamie Mills Price is one of my favorite artists. She's still the one I turn to for inspiration to paint again. All of these projects are her patterns. Wish I had more time to play here but seems as though my days are filled with things to do for work. How was your winter? Ours has been the mildest in years. I do have a facebook acct. now. So fun to hear from you again. Punk...See Moreloisflan
