From the fine print on that website: "You are solely responsible for the use and misuse of products offered and for all actions and consequences of that use or misuse. Our product/kit, as with other cautery removals, may have with it the risk of infection, nerve damage, allergic reaction, bleeding and/or scarring." Nice. "This product is not FDA approved and is not to be used as a medical treatment program, nor to diagnose or cure of (sic) any disease or medical condition. Always consult with a qualified physician for medical advice...If you have any concerns that you or someone you know may not be able to apply/use the paste, or steadily use the items included in the kit, please "pass" on purchasing the product, as this could cause serious injury with misuse." Even with that list of disclaimers and warnings, they don't advise you about how risky it is to remove a "mole" with such a product, since a cauterizing/burning agent can't be relied on to remove an entire lesion and a microscopic remnant of a melanoma could be left behind to regrow and/or metastasize.

our dermatologist said just to 'snip them' off & apply iodine! Said insurance wouldn't pay to have skin tags removed. Well, I had one removed by my regular Dr. & it bled so profusely that they had a difficult time to stop the bleeding so I doubt I would snip them off myself but a neighbor does it all the time & uses iodine & no problems.

Now I have the itchies! My cats don't get them because they don't get out, but DH does get them on him. I have found the best way to remove them is to get good tweezers and light a match. Let the match burn until the wood is red (use a wood match, not a cardboard one) and then blow it out. Working quickly, hold the hot end of the match near the tick (with your left hand) and squeeze and *gently* pull the tick with the tweezers in your right hand (assuming you are right handed). The heat from the match will make the tick back out just enough so you can pull it out intact. This works like a charm (learned after a few infections from tick heads). With a cat you will obviously have to have someone hold the cat and the fur aside. I would wet the fur in that area also. I would clean the spot and watch it to make sure it doesn't get red, take him to the vet if it does. Nasty little beasts (the tick, not the cat!).

They are caused by a virus, is what my dr. told me. My dad and I both get them. Donner, I have three of those. I don't remember what the dermotologist called them, but she told me they would look worse if she cut them out. The one on my arm is still raised, one on one leg, I've cut so many times shaving, it's flat. The third, on the other leg, is under my ankle brace and seems to getting flat, also. I am wondering if lack of air is helping that one. I may try putting nail polish on them to see if that makes them go away. I have cut some of the small ones off myself. That's all the dermotologist does to them, even if they are big. She just numbed them with a shot and cut them off.
