stupid question about cooking rice

I usually make plain brown rice in my rice cooker, but I haven't even done that in ages. I'm going to try a wild rice recipe that I found online. I'm making it for "company" so it has to be perfect. (Don't ask why I'm waiting until the last minute on this. It's my typical way.)

Several of the reviewers said that they didn't use all wild rice as the recipe calls for, and suggested substituting white rice or basmati rice for some or even half of the wild rice. Don't I need to adjust the cooking time or something so that the wild rice gets cooked thoroughly and the white or basmati rice isn't overcooked?

Thanks for not laughing too much!
