I think this is one of these things that should have a "post-game analysis" of sorts. I don't mean to be critical, but this will be analytical and it may help someone else who builds a house in the future. The idea here is nice, and the essentially linked windows are similar to a true palladian window, with the tall window in the middle and subordinate windows on either side of a height equal to the bottom sash...fine. But you've kind of backed yourself into a design corner because these particular windows need to be covered, and yet you don't want to cover them too much, or all the time. A palladian window in an 18th or 19th c house would be treated like this: The walls would be thick enough that shutters would fold over the small windows and fold back into shallow pockets in the jambs when you wanted them out of the way. The larger window would be elaborately draped because of the curve or possibly mostly left bare, depending. If you were to design this over again---or if your architect does do this again in another house---a peak that was wide enough to allow a single rod or top mounted treatment that was wide enough to cover all three windows completely should be one thing considered, or more room for shutters to be folded back would be another, a shorter or differently proportioned window in the middle another. I think that windows are often designed as if they can all be left uncovered because nobody's windows need to be covered for privacy or light control. And really the opposite is true. Almost Every window should be designed if it will need to be covered for privacy or light control, and if it doesn't great, but if it does you are not faced with several less than ideal options and possibly some really awkward options but no perfect options.

Oh, lo e the colours in sky. I always enjoy nature . This is bizarre Bec I took pics yesterday at 5.30 am while driving to work. I showed them to my kids Bec they never look up to enjoy anything so engrossed in their video games. First photo taken in the car when I was at red light. Second and third was as I was walking from garage to work . one side is different colour than the other as the sunrise is coming up. Last pic. on my back at 3.30 pm yesterday. My favorite was electric blue the early morning at dusk. jin

Here's a more encompassing view. It was planned in that I planted the sedums in the moss on the nurse log. The trees are Western Hemlock. The log is an old Douglas Fir. Sedums are usually associated with bright sunny places, not where moss grows. I got the idea to plant sedums with moss after seeing it grow on north facing cliff faces amongst the moss in the Olympic Mountains here in western Wa. St.

I generally dislike having my photo taken as well. My biggest problem is that I very often close my eyes right when the photo is taken. I have no idea why. There doesn't even need to be a flash. However, I am trying to be more open to having my photo taken by friends and family because as I look back at the photos my husband and I have, I realize that so often we're taking photos of the things around us and have none of us doing those things together. There are some great tutorials I've found online that give some good tips on how pose, how to position your face, and how to smile. Some of the things that have worked for me include trying to really bring my smile to my eyes not just making a smiling shape with my mouth. Thinking about something that makes you happy and thinking about having that light up your eyes and your mouth together. Practice taking some selfies and see what position is most flattering for your chin (how far up or down) and how wide to smile. At the end of the day, if it can help you feel more confident having your picture taken, it can't hurt, right?!
