Yes it’s a real recess wall, it has lights at the back of it and the logs at the top are a bit sparse 😂 I need to find a couple smaller ones to pop in there. so unfortunately I can’t move it. I have added another plant to the fireplace. I can’t seem to get the right balance of colour and I think it’s definitely got too many photo frames. Thant’s a good point about the door and wood, I was actually thinking of a tan leather chair to the left of the sofa and lots of tan photo frames above the sofa with a tan wood picture ledge. and if it helps to balance it I Have now got a wood tan coloured keyboard in the very far part of the room and I am thinking of adding some kind of brown/cream wall decor??? like the feathered macrame??? So the brown shoul hopefully balance out a little. 🤷‍♀️

A picture? Is it one piece or is tub and walls separate?

"just prints off Etsy" implies maybe you are not totally beholden to these? in that case, go for it and be prepared to possibly need to replace them in a few years. if you really love them, hang them somewhere else and get better glass. there are a ton of different printing techniques ("print" is a very broad word). I once had a photograph from an art fair that discolored badly in a bright room in indirect light. I'm pretty sure it was printed on a home inkjet printer, which is about the worst kind. thankfully I didn't really care about that piece.

Your room is lovely and it reminds me of the dining rooms in the homes of our early American Presidents. I did not notice the difference in space between the left window/near wall and the right window/near wall. If you put anything there, even a plate, it will throw off the symmetry of that end of the room and call attention to a spatial difference that no one actually notices. Your curtain rods may not be fully extended. I would check that first. Personally, I like the separate curtain rods and think if you pulled the curtains together at the center top and added hold backs right above the wainscoting (easier to repair hardware holes in the wall than to try to cover them up in wainscoting if you should ever want to make a change) it would give the windows a more formal appearance for very little money. You can gently pull a bit of the curtain so it slightly curves as it drapes behind the hold back rather than be pulled straight.
