SOme colors will seem to intensify once they are on all four walls. Essentially the color is reflecting back on each wall. If you really like the Honey Bear but it seems too bright you can have them cut the color formulation in half.

That bedding is fantastic! My first thought when I saw it was a pale clear, crisp aqua shade like SW Topsail but lighter. There's another shade that I really like but I can't recall the name - I have the chip at home and can check when I get back.

Maybe BM Healing Aloe could be a direction. I think that it could look really nice w/ the Promenade which is a gorgeous color BTW!

I love the set. I can see why you are having hard time coordinating the wall color though, based on the green in the bedding set. I'm assuming that the baby is a boy? If so, would you consider pulling the light blue out of the quilt? It seems like it would bring a mellow/calm backdrop for the room. Just a thought.

We used a (I think) Behr color for a nursery several years ago, called Peaceful Calm--it was a soft yellow, but creamy. It was either from Lowes or HD. I'm not sure if it would work with your set offhand, but it was a soft, non-intense color. Congrats again!

I can tell you that if you're looking at the new colors against the current walls, that minty green color will affect how you see the new colors. Try looking at the new colors against a white/neutral backdrop. If you want to avoid more green, I think I'd continue looking at the creamy yellows if I were you.

I am not afraid of color... I definately do not like white walls! LOL! As I said, most of our living area is behr prominade. I absolutely love this color. Our kitchen is a milk chocolate color (forgot the name) and it works because our cabinets are all white. The computer/play room is glidden honey beige. Our bedroom is orange and our daughters room is behr midsummer night dream (another color I really love).

So while our colors are all over the place, they all seem to work together because they have the same level of intensity. So far nothing in this last room really works with the rest of the house.

The honey beige is not a bad color, it is just not as warm/creamy as I expected. It is definately more of a yellow. I think I might need to prime in there before I continue looking at color samples against the wall.

Have you tried Behr Kansas Grain or Warm Cocoon?

We used these for our master bedroom in a former house: warm cocoon on the bottom & kansas grain on top.

A couple of other colors that we also used in that house looked a bit like warm creams - used in our bathroom: Behr Riviera Sand & Cracked Wheat. We used the RS on the ceiling & CW on the walls.

They tended towards the yellow side but I think that was largely because of the tile color.

I found those chips. The paint is Colorplace from Wal-mart and the 2 shades of pale, clear aqua are Fostoria Glass #334 and Sea Breeze #335 that I was thinking.

We used BM Wythe Blue in our nursery (for a girl) and I absolutely love it. I can't say enough about how amazing that color is and it's a good blue -- works for a boy or a girl. You might see if it will pair nicely with the blue in the quilt?

I am still stuck on trying to find the right combination of cream with warm yellow undertones that is not too pastelly. To complicate matters it nothing in that room seems to flow with the colors in the rest of the house. For some reason every yellow I try in that room turns blindingly intense and makes me squint.

The problem I have with using blue is that it is such an off blue, like an aqua color. I worry that if I want to change bedding or looks I am going to have to repaint, where the color in my head ( I am starting to wonder if it exists outside of my head!)would be more of a neutral.

I think ralph lauren parchment would be to die for with that bedding! It's a deep tan that will pull into the green tones but not enough to not read tan.

Another color that I like is Deep Cowslip 4 (which is behr I think) which is about the color of that sunshine rising from the bedding.

personally I'd go with the parchment because I think it will be soothing and enough color to still excite you :) I'm going to use it in our baby nursery very soon :) We have just found a surrogate so we hope to be welcoming a baby or two into the fold within the year :) One bonus to not having it yourself is you have energy and time to plan the nursery LOL My poor DS came two months early so he ended up in a primer white room when he first came home.
