Are some chicken breasts just destined to be dry?

We are a "thigh" family, but I couldn't resist the fabulous sale I got on whole skinless boneless chicken breasts last week. Yesterday I threw some in the slow cooker with a jar of raspberry salsa and cooked it most of the day. I served it over polenta, but the chicken was really dry. Did I do something wrong? Please give me some ideas to use up all these breast in my freezer so the family will eat them!
