I hate small kitchen appliances

and gadgets, too. I hate to dig them out from wherever I store them (very little counter space) and I also hate washing them and putting them away. When I was misdiagnosed with celiac disease I bought a fabulous Kitchen Aide stand mixer. I made it to 65 and had never felt I needed one. Now, after retesting proved I don't have celiac disease, I am no longer making gluten free bread and the mixer resides on a low shelf gathering dust. I have a blender (also purchased to mekd GF food) and I have never used it. IF a recipe calls for pureeing I don't use that recipe. I always make mashed potatoes--they come out lump free) by hand. I used a masher and a fork. I know I am stupid for not using all the stuff I have available to me, but I just hate getting them out, cleaning the and then storing them. When I was married my husband bouth an electric knife and a food processor. When we divorced he jealously grabbed them as his. Guess he hadn't noticed I never once used either.
