OMG they are beautiful!!!!! Lucky you. I am sooooo jealous. I like the one you feature in the second picture (back left corner in the first). I suspect you like it, too, or you wouldn't have featured it.

Love the back corner one, but the 2 little (seashell?) ones in the front are cute, too. You'll have fun making pretty Jello's. Enjoy

Aren't they something? I can't even remember for sure where I bought them. The only thing I can think of is there used to be a sale barn that had auctions not too far from my house and inside they had a room with misc. junk that didn't sell and they priced it separately for like $.10 to $1 for items like these. I just kept buying as I found them. Yes, I like the taller one. You should see the little ones, there are too many to photograph but maybe later I'll pick out some and take a pic.Now to figure out how many cups of water vs. jello to put in the mold. I guess I'll fill a big measuring cup and see how much liquid the taller one will hold.

And yes, afterwards I'll post a pic of the finished tower of jello! ha green or red?

Kat, that "wall" on the left is my fridge; and I don't know if cake could be made in them or not. Would it stick terribly?
Maybe not if greased and floured. I was thinking wouldn't it be fun to have a little tea shop that sold nothing but fancy jello? :) Have to come up with a good name for it.

You know, if you did want to display them there, you can pick up magnetic hooks at your hardware store. They're VERY strong, and I think would hold a jello mold.

Seems to me, that I've heard you're not supposed to bake in jello molds, but I'm not sure about that.

What a great surprise! Wish my garage would conjure up something cool like your molds instead of just junk! I love those small ones that look like they may be shells. I think I need to collect something :-)

If those molds are aluminum, a magnet hook won't hold them. I have two molds; one is aluminum, and one is that slivered tin stuff. I love how pretty molds will make a Jello look, and I especially like the front and rear molds on the left. I think I would start with one of them, but be sure that you have enough Jello. They look like they are pretty big. I always wanted to make a pretty mold for a festive occasion, but alas DH and son do not like Jello at all.

Those are wonderful! I used to have a similar collection of gold colored ones but I got rid of them years ago and now I wish I had them back!! I had a Joys of Jello cookbook too which was full of recipes that would fill those molds. Cna't wait to hear about what you make and hopefully see a picture!

I'm boiling some water right now to try this out. I'm going to use the smaller one right in the middle,right above the first seashell. I measured and this mold takes exactly 2 cups of water and that's what I need to make one box of red jello (one cup boiled, one cup cold).

Boy, it wasn't easy to clean. In fact, I nicked the knuckle of my thumb trying to get down into the crevices on the inside. It's the only one that looked like it may have been used alot. Wish me luck. Probably no pics until tomorrow.

Two examples of the smaller ones. There a dozen of the ones on the left and eight of the ones on the right. Also found a fancy little cookie or biscuit sheet in with them. The muffin tin I keep in the cupboard and use often, but mostly for cornbread muffins. Because it is so difficult to clean afterwards and even cooking spray doesn't help the sticking, I use cupcake papers down inside. I'm showing it from the back because the designs can be seen more clearly. Yes, that's rust because of its age and also I figure from not drying it completely before being put away all these years. You see, that's why I like The Kitchen Table. Where else could I have fun dragging these out and sharing?

Ta-Dahhh! I was a little nervous and didn't have the plate centered quite enough. A bit like the Leaning Tower of Pisa or "Piece 'a Jello".
