DS was just at the local market that caters to a variety of ethnic back grounds. Its a small family market. They carry really fresh meat, and things that a lot of the chain groceries don't. They have yeast cakes in two sizes. They are"
0.6 oz and 2 oz cakes
The 2 oz. cake says it is = to (3) 0.6 oz. cakes or (3) of the .25 oz. packages (or 1 strip of yeast pkgs.)
I had posted a while back about old recipes only stating 1 yeast cake, but not what size. We now have part of my answer! I know I can look at my late MIL's nut roll recipe and figure some of those old recipes out, as she told me to use 3 of the.25 oz pkgs or 1 strip for one recipe of the nut roll!
