Good for you! Deviled eggs to me include a little chopped up sweet pickle - the rest of your ingredients will be tasty good without them though too! I'm sure everyone will be happy with your talent!

Ann, I think the food is the main reason my theatre group likes having me around lol.

Nancy, we made deviled eggs at the Halloween party I had with my friends last weekend, but we didn't add the horseradish since a few people didn't like spicy ingredients. I didn't add much to this batch, so they're not spicy, but they still taste good (at least the filling did). Mom even tried a taste and said it tasted good and she doesn't like spicy foods either lol.

I have some sort of made for DD's baby shower tomorrow. The eggs are boiled, peeled, halved, and the filling mixed. I didn't put any horseradish in, as most won't like them that are coming tomorrow. I have Miricle Whip (yes, I know, a lot of you don't like it!) onion powder, white pepper, salt, and a little pickle relish in it. I put it in a zip top bag so I can pipe it in the egg halves tomorrow. I cut up black olives to make spiders on the top after I fill them. Have fun tomorrow!

Tami, we used Miracle Whip (well the generic brand kind from the store) in our deviled eggs last weekend at the Halloween party and they were good! I LOVE the idea of the black olives (I love them in salads, pizza and subs/burgers) on top! You have fun, too!

Brad, if you live where Nance's mustard is sold in area stores substitute this for the Dijon mustard. Makes a major taste difference for the better. Sadly southern stores do not stock Nance's mustard and our northern visitors know what to bring as a house gift.

Love deviled eggs but for some reason I only make them from Easter to Labour Day...

I usually make mine almost identical to Brad except I use horseradish ( not the sauce) and a dash of hot sauce.

Sometimes I change it up with either capers, anchovies, dill or olives.

The eggs were a huge hit and someone even said that they were similar to the ones that the one former member made, which is a wonderful compliment since they loved her deviled eggs.

Nandina, I have not seen that brand around here for sale, either. I will have to check for it though.

chase, deviled eggs are great to eat all the time! I don't see why they can't be featured at gatherings year round :-).

Of course you are right, there is no reason not to serve them year round .

For some reason they say summer to me......maybe because I associate them with BBQ's , hot bogs, burgers, and corn on the cob.

Totally illogical I know !

Brad, I'm another deviled egg lover and your's sound delicious. I do make them throughout the year, not just in the summer, and everyone gobbles them up like candy. Guess its because they don't get them very often. I've even made them with Thanksgiving dinners and as part of my Christmas buffet.

this year my son and DIL are hosting Christmas. Their house is small and their kitchen a blink.

I suggested ,and Amity agreed, that a fork friendly ( ie no knives) menu would be the best strategy given we will all be using our lap as our table!

As the time approaches I'll be back for ideas but in the meantime I've decided deviled eggs would be perfect on the menu.....
