Cynj, Farfard actually does have a cactus and succelnt mix. Look online, they do sell it, just in case you are interested. For my citrus, I use Miracle Grow Citrus and Cactus mix. It's growing just fine. I use Farfard Professional Potting mix for all my other plants, my plummies go in Cactus mix. If your local nursery doesn't have it, (most regular nurseries do have it), you can ask them to order some for you. I tried Al's mix one year, it was fine, but I had to water almost every day. I'm not watering every single day, all my plants. I'm not saying it isn't good, everyone has a different tolerence for things. I also use Foilage Pro, by Dyna Grow, I dilute it 1 teasp. per gallon of water, and every time I water, they get a little Foliage Pro too. Foilage Pro is awesome! A little bit goes a long way too, so even tho it is a little pricey, you don't use that much. I use it on all my plants, even orchids love it! Hope I helped a little bit.

Floorguy, You may wish to do some further research and enhance your education on floor coverings inspection certification programs and organizations. Yes the NWFA and NOFMA certainly do have certification programs, both being relatively new compared to the IICRC's. ALL floor coverings manufacturers recognize and name the IICRC and its independent inspectors as the final word for flooring disputes and use them in court. Just for your information, the IICRC stands for "The Institute for INSPECTION, Cleaning, and Restoration CERTIFICATION" ... The word carpet does not appear except as one of many flooring types under their inspection and restoration certification uumbrella. IICRC Certification Categories include, but certainly is not limited to the following: Wood anmd Laminate Inspector (WLFO), Cermic Tile Inspector (CTI), Resilient Flooring Inspector (RSI), Marble and Stone Inspector (MSI), Senior Carpet Inspector (SPI), as well as a plethora of other specialty certifications in cleaning, repair, isntallaion, and restoration services. They are the world leader in Inspection Certifications for determination of responsibility and fault in the flooring industry, barring none. Call a few manufacturers technical service departments and ask what certification body(ies) their wood (or any other product type) inspectors are certified by. I did, which was the start of my road to knowledge on this subject when I needed independent inspections of various flooring issues. I hope this helps to dispel any inaccurate ASSumptions you may have about the IICRC and flooring inspection side of the industry.

I'm back! Well I went and painted about 5 different swatches- and just didn't love 4 them... Too dark and too green or mustardy were the main issues for most. There WAS one I really liked though - BM Revere Pewter. But I was so similar to the BM Grant Beige that I have up there (same intensity, but a little greyer/tauper) - that I can't justify repriming and repainting. (not to mention paying the $$ for BM) if it's not going to be much different looking. SO I Have decided to just stay with the Grant Beige and see how I feel once the floors and trim go down next week. I have never been more indecisive in my life than I have been during this renovation- but thank goodness I have you guys to help keep my head up!

A quick search on Houzz will show lots of pictures with mixed finishes. The first two below have ORB light fixtures and chrome/brushed nickel plumbing fixtures and cabinet hardware. The last picture has chrome plumbing fixtures and ORB light fixtures and cabinet hardware. IMO all these combinations look good. I am typically a "matchy/matchy" person but wanted chrome plumbing fixtures in my house and prefer ORB light fixtures to chrome light fixtures for some reason. So I have spent hours looking at pictures with mixed finishes and reading design blogs/home building forums and have come to the conclusion that there are no "rules" on this and it is really a matter of personal taste.
