HELP!!!!

Okay, I'm doing a complete remodel of a bathroom, (which I have done numerous times before.) Included in this project is all new drywall. Last week, I got done orange peel texturing it and applied Zinsser's "Fast Prime 2" primer. All was going fine, until I went to apply the finish coat of paint yesterday. This is when I noticed that the texture and / or drywall compound was surface cracking, bubbling, spider webbing...in some spots, specifically in the inside corners of the room. I have never had anything like this happen before and am desperately seeking advice on; A.) What happened.... and B.) What do I do to fix the problem? Everything looked beautiful prior to priming...it's not a moisture issue in the room, and the walls were all wiped down with a damp cloth two days before texturing to remove any residual dust. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Dan
