I just read on our local news website that a tornado destroyed homes in your city. I hope you're ok. My kids are getting out of school early due to tornado threat. I hope everyone is ok today. Wish I had a basement.

News just said a tornado touched down, on the Tenn/Al border.

Our threat is upcoming: this afternoon and evening.

Cloudy, humid,sun off and on: 74 right now.

My friend and I both enjoyed it! Both of us had sort of a let down feeling when it was over. All that hype over the song, and there wasn't that much of a big to do with the song. It was good but not the best I have seen! And, YES, Ted Neely did a magnificent job. We had a hard time figuring out who the man with the crocs was. Was he Harrod? Or guy doing a mockery of Jesus? Don't know what that was all about? Can U explain? Please!

Here you go with my ***showing my rendition Alaska cole slaw 5 cups shredded cabbage **I buy the preshredded plain, no carrots, etc at WalMart 1/2 cups almond slivers, toasted 1 1/2 cups dried cranberries 1/2 cup celery, diced**don't use 1/4 cup chopped green onions, white and green parts 1/2 cups chopped green bell pepper **don't use This is the creamy dressing I used and it works great: mix 1/2 c mayo with 2 Tbl cider vinegar **I used white wine vinegar, 2 tsp sugar, salt and pepper to taste Pour over coleslaw right before serving and toss JUST TO COAT Combine cabbage, almonds, cranberries, celery, green onions, and green pepper in a large plastic bowl with a snap-on lid. Combine all dressing ingredients, adding salt and pepper to taste, and refrigerate until ready to serve. Pour dressing over slaw just before serving. Stir well

Kath, that storm was in the Huntsville area - north Alabama. Glenda and I will be in the storms coming in this afternoon. It is very windy here right now.

Just got a call from my husband saying that they are closing the University (UAHuntsville) early and he's on his way home. I am SOOOOO glad. I hate going through these terrible storms without him.

Wind gust have been 35-50 mph. Atmosphere just ripe for severe storm.

Good wishes for the safety of all in the paths of these storms. It is windy in Tupelo, but nothing more for now. Some areas nearby received quarter sized hail. I have my hidey-hole ready, with a chair, radio and water. The cat plans to join me there if necessary. All of you take care of you.
