One of the advantages of fiberglass is that it is easily paintable. You can mask the glass and the outside and use a sprayer with an exterior grade latex paint.

I have these moldings in my dining room, which is small (maybe 12 x 14). Originally we had the walls painted a color (gray mirage) and the molding was painted the same as the trim color (china white). Later, when we repainted the room a bolder color, we painted the molding the same color as the walls. It does make the room seem larger. Our room is also "chopped up" quite a bit w/ windows and doors, and the molding just added to that and made the room too busy. Painting the molding the same as the walls was a real improvement. No, dont use spray paint on your trim. You will have a disaster. You can use rustoleum if you wish to, but, buy a can of primer, and use a brush, and buy a can of rustoleum painters touch. It will work ok for trim. If the can says paint plus primer, well, dont pay attention to that, primer it anyway. All this is made worse, because,you havent ever done any painting. For vinyl,you will need specialty paint for vinyl. (Not spray paint) I sure cannot see this all going well. Use good quality brushes. Since you have never painted before, you definitely shouldnt be starting with trim, anyway. Trim requires a bit of experience.
