Need advice on using foam core for framing prints

I have 5 prints: matisse's open window, hunt's light of the world, and monet's waterlilies morning--this one is going to be cut into 3 pieces and framed separately as a triptych.

I have wood frames without backing or glass and want to glue foam core to the prints and place them in the frames.

Can I get these pre-cut and glue the prints to them or do I need to get them larger to cut afterwards? The foam core I can get around here is 20x30 but one print is 22x28 so can I just cut a couple 1" strips out of my other remnants and glue them to the ends (and if so how exactly should I go about this so it doesn't show thru the print.) After I get them glued to the board I would like to know if I should varnish the front of the prints or leave it alone since there is not going to be any glass in these frames. Oh and should I get fome cor that's already got the adhesive on it or just apply spray adhesive? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
