For those of you I haven't already overwhelmed with photos of my daughter's wedding, here's the actual ceremony. These images aren't too big, so a bunch of them should be manageable (I hope).

"Should I say something to my brother the groom? Or just keep quiet as to not cause any drama?" Nope...don't say anything. Keep quiet. Let it go. Your poor brother is caught in the middle between his bit** of a mother and siblings that he probably wants to include. Let him enjoy this time without any added stress from a family fight. You and the other siblings should go out to a nice dinner and toast your brothers happiness.

Karlene, Lovely pictures! You all look so beautiful! It is good see see that you can still smile (is that relief?) Our DS is getting married November 23 - in the mountains. He said they will have an outside ceremony if it is 45ÃÂ° or above, otherwise the venue has an indoor set up. I joked that his fiance might want to consider long underwear under her dress! I hope I can still smile when it is all said and done! Sue

Oh wow! She was so tiny Lynn! My hubby was 2#6oz at birth. He's healthy as an ox now. At almost sixty he's running marathons! What a neat banquet for honoring those that helped their students along. Being a retired elementary school reading teachers assistant I know how much one misses "our children" when they move on and what an honor it is when they tell you how much you helped them or when they introduce you to their parents as "this is Mrs. C, she's the one that taught me to READ!" That comment was from a little boy that his parents wanted to take him (a first grader) and his brother (as second grader) out of the reading program because the current reading teacher (my long time friend and awesome reading teacher retired the year before) was mean to them. A deal was made to keep them in the course by only seeing me whom they loved as much as I loved them. I loved all my students.

Actually, I think the ettiquette rule is that if you are attending, you are socially obligated to send a gift; if you do not attend, you are under no social obligation to send a gift. (However, a large number of people who receive invitations are genuinely delighted for the happy couple, and send a gift anyway -- even if they are unable to attend.) So bottom line -- if you go to the wedding (even if you skip the expensive reception) it costs you a gift. If you 'have an unfortunate conflict' or 'regret that you won't be able to attend' -- you're off free, and a congratulatory card is more than enough to satisfy your social obligations. Since you don't really want to go and can't really afford a gift, simply thank them for the kind the invitation, declare your regrets, and send a nice card.

How sweet. The view is awesome. They were much more practical then a cousin of mine who chose to get married at Lake Tahoe for her second marriage. They chose the venue because it had a spectacular lake view but there was a white-out storm that March day and my cousin about froze in her strapless wedding gown. Because of the storm, there was no lake view. LOL.

Wow, do they look happy! I pictured them getting married on the top of the ski slope, ready to ski down. Hey, what do I know about skiing? The pictures are beautiful and your daughter sure does look tiny next to the big guy!!

That certainly is a photo of a beautiful, happy bride and handsome groom. they even manage to upstage that stunning scenery behind them. Do you have a wall to display all these new photos of married children? and new grandbaby when it arrives?

How wonderful to know that your children are married and ensconced in their own families now.
