There are days lately I don't get on the puter, save to check an email........but to be honest I found this thread several days ago. I wanted to say just the right thing and struggled with it to the point, I gave up. But, I can't let this thread go awaY without telling you that you are in my thoughts on a daily basis, Di and if good wishes were a touchable real entity when directed to another person, and I think they are, then you should be flooded with them coming from all directions. I'm hoping this year brings sunshine into your life and flowers in your gardens.

Thank you all. My day started, as always, with a latte in bed, thanks to Max. We are planning a nice snack dinner, shrimp, smoked salmon, cheese, an eggplant bruschetta, fresh veggies and fruit, and Champagne while we watch election returns. We voted by mail weeks ago and had no line at all to drop our ballots in a drive by mailbox. Last night's news said that between 61 and 70% of registered voters in Colorado had already mailed in ballots or done early on site voting. I think that is an amazing number and should insure short lines everywhere today. Later in the week we will have dinner out at one of our fav restaurants. Lee

Thank you all for the greetings and cards. They have really made me smile and be grateful for my friends here.

I have had a quiet but lovely day, starting out with my Max-made lovely foamy latte in the morning. Then off to exercise on the treadmill. That is really paying off, last year on my birthday I still had three bar stools in the kitchen, at the sink, the stove and the counter, and I moved from one to another to sit while making dinner. This year I can cook dinner on my feet and the stools have gone away. Even though I still get tired at night, I can walk for five hours through a museum with only a lunch break.

Max brought me lovely roses and a sweet card and we had fresh crab on large salads for a special lunch.

We are putting off my birthday dinner for a week. Max is taking me to Montevideo, UR and Buenos Aires and we will have a celebration dinner there. We're both looking forward to the trip and seeing part of the world we have not been to. We're staying in those two cities, along with two days in Colonia, UR - all at sea level so I won't have any problems.

Thank you for making my birthday so special.
