Thank you everyone. You are all such good friends. I did have a nice birthday,class in the morning, quiet afternoon,dinner a favorite Vietnamese restaurant. And yes, Max had something special planned - we leave tomorrow for a short Mediterranean cruise. I know it will be fun, just wish I knew more about the weather, since the fifties here in Colorado on a sunny day means no socks no jacket, I'm not so sure what the fifties in a more humid area, or on board ship will be like. Fall has been crazy, I'm taking a two hour Spanish class twice a week and teaching English as a Second Language - just to a small group of two, but it takes an amazing amount of time over the three - four hours a week that we meet to research and prep - but I'm love it! I still get tired pretty early in the evening but have so much more stamina than several years ago. Every birthday reminds me of how much you all were there for me, during my long hospital stay and much longer recovery, and I thank you all for that too. Lee

Thanks Annie, I had completely forgotten that the Monkey Princess was my birthday twin! Actually we also have Lee in Colorado with the same birthday, so make that birthday triplets! I hope Makayla was properly feted! I had a terrific day-- week! My dearest friends took me to lunch and dinner was at Maggiano's with the family after the kids TaeKwonDo session. The only bummer is I wasn't planning on buying a new oven for my birthday present! (see post about oven advice) In the afternoon between lunch and dinner I was out shopping for a new double oven! Oh well, it will be new and shiny when I finally decide which oven to buy LOL !

Thank you all for the greetings and cards. They have really made me smile and be grateful for my friends here.

I have had a quiet but lovely day, starting out with my Max-made lovely foamy latte in the morning. Then off to exercise on the treadmill. That is really paying off, last year on my birthday I still had three bar stools in the kitchen, at the sink, the stove and the counter, and I moved from one to another to sit while making dinner. This year I can cook dinner on my feet and the stools have gone away. Even though I still get tired at night, I can walk for five hours through a museum with only a lunch break.

Max brought me lovely roses and a sweet card and we had fresh crab on large salads for a special lunch.

We are putting off my birthday dinner for a week. Max is taking me to Montevideo, UR and Buenos Aires and we will have a celebration dinner there. We're both looking forward to the trip and seeing part of the world we have not been to. We're staying in those two cities, along with two days in Colonia, UR - all at sea level so I won't have any problems.

Thank you for making my birthday so special.
