Love them to wear around the house. Petite teens look cute in them but grown women look ridiculous wearing them out in public (stores, restaurants etc.). Wearing them around your house or neighborhood is fine by me. I feel the same way about sweats.

oh i don't mind them..of course it does depend on the fabric and design...now my plaid ones i'd never be "caught" in public, lol...
sweats here in the winter, are standard...(with long johns under them, lol) i'm not about to wear slacks when it's 0...

I never leave home in my PJ bottoms, but I may remain in them all day if I'm lazy, or I don't need to go out. Oops, I once went to the Starbucks drive-thru in my PJ's. It was New Years Day. I think that I and the Starbucks workers were the only people up that morning!

I've spent the day in them when I was at home, I'd never wear them in public though. I don't even wear sweat pants outside the house.

I usually wear sweats during the winter and then shorts in the summer...But, wouldn't go out wearing these outfits....We have a rather large neighbor fellow that has some of the loudest pants and DH and I have a good laugh every time we see him leave...But what ever floats your boat...I feel if you feel comfortable, go for it....

I don't think they should be worn outside the house - that's why they are called pyjamas.

Living in the country I have been known to wear my pj's out to the garden, which is out back, way out back with only fields around. I will not wear them down the drive to our mailbox! Home is fine out no. If I were making some I would maybe make some to look like they were just pants. I never wear sweats. I so want to get back to sewing. Good luck with your sewing.

I think they'd be nice to wear in the evenings at home, but I hate to see anyone, over the age of 18 months, out in public in their "night clothes." I find it really disturbing to see folks out shopping in night/bed/lounge wear. If I had a child it would not participate in "PJ" events at school, either.

Just for myself, I have to put on real clothes in the morning. It sets my mind into being up and productive. I don't change into sweats or jammies until after the dinner dishes and evening chores are finished. Until then it's jeans, shorts, or slacks, and walking shoes, and underpinnings.

I love my pj bottoms. I've never worn them in public, although I think they are kinda cute. :o)

Pj bottoms aren't warm enough for me to wear around the house in the winter. I wear sweats (nice looking ones) to run errands in the winter. If it is really cold, I have thermals on underneath. As the weather gets warmer, I switch to jeans to run errands. My shorts come almost to my knees. I haven't worn short shorts in public for many a moon.

I wouldn't wear them out anywhere but I sure am getting used to wearing them at home. Really comfortable. I've seen my Granddaughters in them at home too.

I would never wear them in public, never! I didn't own a pair until last year. Now I wear them at night when I know we won't get anyone at the door, I usually put them on when we settle down to watch a DVD. I've never spent more than 3 or 4 hours at a time in pyjamas.

Ruthie, let's have a pj party when we come to your house. That's if we can talk Nita and Buzzard in to it. LOL

I have a cute pair with Disney's Chip & Dale on them. I only wear them at home in the evnening and to bed. Wouldn't be caught dead in them outside the house. I think people who wear PJ's in public look lazy.

I love them and wear them often, but never out of the house, or at least in public. I do wear them in the yard or to the mailbox...the birds don't seem to mind as long as I am filling the feeders!

I don't think there has been a day in my life that I haven't dressed in the morning. And I never wear sweats, My friends ask me why and I don't dare tell them. I am a little over weight, but was recently told I have a lovely body, so flaunt it. When I heard that I thought, boy this over shirt hides a lot of sins. LOL

Well I just realized I will be wearing PJs out in public next month. One of my Red Hat chapters is having a pajama breakfast at a restaurant buffet. I have special
Red Hat jammies for that. I will also wear my Clifford the Big Red Dog slippers and put my hair in twin ponytails. LOL

I'm also holding a Mad hatter Tea for my smaller RH chapter at a condo's clubhouse. I'm wearing a purple t shirt with the "Alice" Tea Party on the front. I bought Cheshire Cat fleece bottoms for the event.

But I consider this going out in costume, not wearing PJs in public. ;-)

Sure sounds like a fun time.
