Help....paint still 'tacky'

We painted our daughter's living room wood paneling 3 days ago and it is still tacky. I am really getting concerned...

We prepped the paneling by washing it well, then primed it with Kilz Premium (we let the primer dry for 6 hours and it dried very nicely) The primer did not get tacky at all, it felt completely dry to the touch when we applied the paint. The paint is a deep burgundy color, latex paint. Could that have some bearing on the length of time to dry? Also, we have been having very humid weather so that could be affecting the dry time?

My daughter called this afternoon and said that she turned on the central air conditioning this morning and that the "tackiness" seemed less this afternoon. I told her to leave the air on until the weekend when I plan to help her paint the second coat.....if the first coat ever drys....

What are your thoughts, will the first coat dry?
