Gina, hot flashes? Have fun! I was lucky, had a few then they were gone....except, each night for a couple of years I would wake up about 4AM, night sweats. Cathy... I love all the goodies. I know you had fun shopping. I haven't seen a colander like that before. Blunt end spoons are my very favorite. Any store I'm in, that sells kitchen goods, I look for that style of spoon, I buy everyone I find that's different from what I have...big, little, metal, plastic, wood, holey (sp?), solid! No I'm NOT going to count how many I have. :) Great package! Nancy

THANK YOU ALL for the birthday wishes. Of course the highlight was the visit and handmade cards from BeauLily. The patient forgot but that is unusual for him, it is I who doesn't remember anniversarys and birthdays. He was telling his assistant coach the lineup he wants for tomorrow, then I think I heard him say he would be at the game!! Excuse me--stadium stairs, dugout?

Thank you all for the birthday wishes!

I started off the day with the awards assembly at school where both Beau (2nd grade) and Lily (kindergarten) received "good citizen" awards.

Raymond is taking me to dinner; he found a restaurant that gives a free meal on your birthday--how cheapthru> special is that??

Thanks again friends.

As for the dinner, it wasn't good. It was a super large Asian buffet! The food on the hot bar did not taste fresh and was not hot. A lot of the chicken items were chewy, like they had been sitting there too long. The tempura was cold and rubbery. The sushi bar was huge but some of the Edomae-sushi was scary. The only saving item was the Peking Duck; I saw it as it came out of the kitchen. It was better than most and reminded me of what I had at the Peking Duck House in NY.
