I'm with barnmom, anything made just for me is romantic. I'd never had a man that cooked for me until I met Elery, now he'll surprise me with soup for lunch or pita chips and hummus when I get home from work, if he's here. I love it, just knowing that he's thinking about me and cares enough to make anything for me is good. Our usual evening is sitting on the couch with the Food Network on, looking at cookbooks. Last week it was the seed catalogs, LOL. Of course, he does clean up the mess himself. He's a "clean as you go" kind of cook, while I tend to clean up everything afterward. As for food, I vote for something light, not a huge heavy meal, and definitely dessert. Anything you can eat with your fingers (or HIS fingers) is even more fun..... Annie

Uh huh, sure. I have a Jack Russel and I bet that is a very well edited video. :)) Mine "steals" slippers, prances in front of me so I can see he has it. Runs around the dining table a few times then up the stairs. He then stands at the top and barks with a mouth full of slipper. If I ignore him he'll bring it down to me. Then after I take it, he pushes open the pantry door and looks from me to his treats and back to me again. I'd like to know what this little dog was REALLY doing when he was being so "helpful". LOL!!

I thought about going out today but decided against it. Thought I'd just snack or skip. Then I got this powerful hankering for spaghetti. Don't know why, but I just wanted spaghetti. So, I just made the one pot version so I wouldn't fill the place up with steam. Yes, it was warm in the kitchen but it sure tickled the tastebuds. And an hour or two later the storms moved through and the temp dropped about 15Â°-20Â° in about 10-15 minutes. Lots of lightning and LOUD thunder. Cat was a bit upset. She likes watching lightning and distant thunder but this was loud enough to bother her a bit. Much cooler right now albeit humid. There's leftovers in the frig... maybe a midnight snack??

Pancakes...my brother LOVED pancakes and they always make me think of him.

The smell of any food that I have in the crockpot, when I walk thru the door after work, knowing that I don't have to cook, it's already done.

Anything that is being grilled on the Traeger grill. I love the smell of the wood.

Roast chicken or roast beef. I don't know when the last time I cooked a roast of beef but I do have one in my freezer.

I miss the smell of waking up to bacon cooking. I cook my own so it is not the same as waking up to it. My Dad used to make a great breakfast for all of us kids on Sunday mornings and as soon as you smelled the bacon you woke up. LOL
