Thank you so much Glenda. My daughter hit all her milestones right on time such as sitting up, crawling, talking, etc. When she had her mmr shots she completely quit talking and would not walk. She is 3 now and just now beginning to talk in somewhat understandable words. Up until now it has been babbling. The change was overnight...seriously... one day she was saying words, and the next day...nothing. She goes to a preschool for young children (3-5yrs) with learning disabilities and is doing really well. She is finally starting to interact with other kids (she quit doing that as well and would play by herself when other children were around) and has speech therapy 3 times a week. They will not officially diagnose her as being autistic until she has been in the program for at least a year. Im just hoping they never will diagnose her. After that happened we got a form from our state capital that we had notarized allowing her to skip all other vaccinations. We also got one for our son.

Nothing in life is black and white, but we see what we experience, I suppose, and after seeing my children struggle, that's all the proof I need. My job is to protect my child, not to worry about herd immunity. FWIW, my children are rarely ill. My friends who fully vaccinate without even reading the inserts or let their children have shots while ill? Sick monthly. Our bodies are made to handle a lot more than we let them, and we're killing those natural responses. In the end, I just hope that people can respect others' choices and realize that we each have to put our own children first. What I saw happen to my children trumps any 'scientific' proof because no one can yet say what causes autism. (And I do wonder, too, what about meds during pregnancy...ultrasounds, etc. Great point!) If you want to read more, read about the national vaccine court awards. They've continually given away money to families with medical proof that vaccines have critically injuried their children. One of my friends lost her child to seizures immediately following a vaccine...a vaccine whose insert said that a side-effect is seizures. Another friend's child is brain damaged and in diapers in her 20's. No matter what the good side of vaccines may be, the fact is that there are side-effects, and we have a right to protect our child from being one. They are not acceptable losses to protect herd immunity. I hope it never happens to anyone here, but if it did, it sure would make you think differently, I guarantee. Most people survive measles, but autism, brain damage and death...they're pretty permanent. Have a good day.

Those that are immuno-suppressed such as those on chemo have been advised to wear masks in public for decades, nothing new about that. But to expect those that have been vaccinated to continue to wear masks tells people that the vaccines are ineffective. Israel has proven that they are effective, they have closed all their covid wards due to lack of patients. To continue punishing and inconveniencing those fully vaccinated with unnecessary requirements will reduce the rate of vaccination. We don't know what level of herd immunity is required to end new infections but we must be close due to the rapid drop in numbers. Funny, last year most posters here vehemently denied that herd immunity was a solution. The numbers from "experts" for achieving herd immunity are going to be overly cautious and much higher than necessary, the CYA mentality.
