I didn't like the hosts, I didn't find them funny. That skit they did about sleeping was weird and not funny. I miss Billy Crystal.

I missed the individual songs too, but I don't think they were performed last year either. Not sure why they cut them out but that was one part I always liked.

I liked when James Taylor sang during the display of actors who had died last year, that was a nice touch. Usually they just have the orchestra play.

Charlize Theron's dress was horrible! As was Sarah Jessica Parker's and Miley Cyrus's. Didn't like Tina Fey's dress either. Sandra Bullock's was nice.

Loved the hosts, Neil Patrick Harris should have stayed home.

Dresses were glam, but the face and hair were Saturday morning frump. They didn't "match".

Show was good, but way too long.

Loved Sandra Bullock going over to Meryl when her name was announced, and Meryl shooing her to the stage...both women very classy.

OTOH, George Cloony looked handsome, but very put out at not winning. No class.

All in all, a better show than ususal.

I enjoyed it. Usually it is way, way too long, this time it was just too long. I was happy Sandra Bullock won. Meryl Streep was her usual classy self. I enjoyed the dresses, hairdos, etc. I loved the dancing, that is my kind of entertainment.
I had never heard of the movie that won best picture.

Host Kathy Ireland did a horrible job, and she should never be given a job interviewing people again. She was posing every time she was on the tube and she sounded SO phony.

While I like Steve Martin and Baldwin a lot, their comedy was lame to say the least.

George Clooney looked like he wanted to be somewhere else.

I can't say if I agree on who won what because I haven't seen any of the movies.

Frankly, I thought with all the hoopla, it would have been a better show.

One thing I'm wondering though, does anyone know which dress Robin Roberts (GMA) choose to Host the Red Carpet? I didn't see her at all.

I too thought they were too long. The hosts were ok.

I'm so happy Sandra Bullock won, but I couldn't help but pull for Gabourey Sidibe because the story of how she came to be on the movie is amazing. She's not some hollywood actress, she's just a student who auditioned, then got nominated. She looked genuinely blessed to be there. How can you not love that?

I think Meryl Streep is one of the best actresses of our time. She's amazing in every role she plays.

I thought George Clooney needed a haircut, and his girlfriend did not look friendly at all. She had this snooty look on her face almost every time I saw her.

I thought Demi Moore's dress was the most beautiful style. The color was a little blah, but it's also what made it look beautiful and feminine. A darker color might not have had the same effect.

I liked the hosts and thought they were no too over the top but had some cute moments.

Neil Patrick Harris completely tanked! He couldn't even hold a tune. Not like last year--wasn't it Hugh Jackman who did a musical number and was so good?

I felt 3 1/2 hours was too long.

The red carpet interviewers seemed too rehearsed and not very interesting.

The dresses were overall kind of disappointing but I did like Sandra Bullocks, Demi Moore's and Gabourey Sadibe's. I also did like Sarah Jessica Parker's dress. I thought it was very classy.

I'm happy for all the winners and thought they all deserved their oscars.

George Clooney? Wow, it was the first time I'd ever seen him be anything less than gracious and looking good. At times he looked like he was actually glaring at someone.

I thought that they could have easily cut out a lot of time here and there, especially with the Ben Stiller thing. My goodness he took forever and was NOT the least bit FUNNY!! It kind of makes you feel bad when they cut short some of those acceptance speeches. Most of those people will never have a chance like that again.

I LOVED the stage. I thought it was decorated beautifully and all the big pieces they moved around were really great.

I loved the James Taylor segment, too. It was beautiful.

I loved Sigourney Weaver's dress, one bare shoulder, red with a black sash.

I don't watch because I don't think dresses or tuxs are all it. I feel the same way about them walking down the red carpet thinking they are all it too. I can see the point of having the awards but not the way it's done. If they reported on the news it would suit me fine but then agian I would realize how it's not so important in the scope of the news to even say who won. It's all a popularity game with nothing more than superficial actors that think they deserve more than the rest of the working public. And they get it. I don't dislike the oscars, I just think they should have their fun over in Hollywood and then tell us the outcome when the popularity contest is over with. Gives me something to chuckle about or wonder what were they thinking.
I like movies but UP IN THE AIR was really kind of boring. Sorry George. That would be my WHAT WERE THEY THINKING MOMENT nominating it for movie of the year. I see where Sandra Bullock won, she was exellent and a good choice to most people.
I don't waste anytime watching, over inflated egos, overpriced dresses and jewels that don't immpress me in the least. I used to see an occasional show that would tell about an actors REAL life. That was very interesting I suppose. Makes me realize that actors aren't out there to be role models for our kids, so I guess that's part of the reason I don't give the Oscars much credit. It has it's place but is given too much ado in my opinion.

I normally don't care much for George Clooney but actually liked his hair last night. It looked boyish to me.

Loved the James Taylor segment with the list of people who have passed on though I was surprised Farrah Fawcett was not mentioned.

Loved the dress worn by the gal who won for best costume design.

Thankfully we missed "Doogie Howser's" opening act. I am not a fan of Neil Patrick Harris.

Overall I thought the show was pretty blah and was a bit put off by the fact that some of the award winners had to interrupt their own co-winners on stage just to get a word in edgewise before they were all told to wrap it up.

I loved the hosts. The skit of them on bed was a parody of the movie Paranormal Actvity. I love Neil Patrick Harris too. I think the George Clooney glaring thing was a joke, I don't think he was meaning to be serious.

I LOVED the Ben Stiller/Avatar thing. Any break from speeches with comedy is welcome by me. I missed the song performances too.

I know nobody will agree with me, but I think Sandra Bullock winning was the biggest disappointment of the entire night. I don't think she is a very good actress, and I think Gabourey Sadibe should have won. I just feel like there are hundreds of movies exactly like The Blind Side. I did love Sandra's dress though. She looked gorgeous.

I think Inglorious Basterds should have gotten more recognition, it was a great film. I'm glad The Hurt Locker got it's fair share of awards. I am really glad The Cove won for best documentary, it's a fabulous film about something that everyone should be aware of, although extremely hard to watch.

I was so-so about Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin (not a big Baldwin fan) - have to admit that I haven't seen a single film that was nominated. I also liked the James Taylor bit.

The George Clooney/Alec Baldwin was supposedly a running inside gag between the two of them, apparently both of them are big jokers.

I thought the testimonials about each best actor and actress nominee were awful. Hope they never do that again!

After demonstrating what a self-important bore he is at the Golden Globes, Cameron lost. I wonder if the community felt he was just too full of himself that night and that helped the Oscar win for Hurt Locker.

I got the impression that Geo. Clooney and his date weren't getting along too well. Cameron Diaz looked gorgeous and I loved her dress. She usually gets lots of criticism for her Oscar "looks."

On the red carpet, he said she didn't understand english.

I thought Cameron Diaz looked like she'd aged quite a bit. She looked alot older than she usually does. She just looked different to me.

I thought Sarah Jessica Parker looked older, too.

I read recently that George Clooney is still learning Italian. I don't know what was going on with him. I agree that the 'glaring looks' were just part of a gag but he acted so odd on the red carpet. I couldn't decide if he had been drinking, in a bad mood or had a fight with his girlfriend. And I didn't care for his shaggy locks.

I don't find Sarah Jessica Parker attractive and it seems she selects her gowns just for their conversation points rather than what might be attractive. Her hairstyle reminded me of an elaborate geisha.

Doogie was awful. I fear he's on the verge of over exposure.

Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin weren't too bad but they certainly weren't all that entertaining either.

Miley Cyrus needs a posture lesson and someone to help her select a dress that fits and is becoming. But then I got a glimpse of her mother last night and now I know why she looked the way she did.

Many of the women were just lovely and I enjoyed their gowns - Meryl, Helen Mirren, Sandra Bullock, Cameron Diaz, Sigourney Weaver.

I didn't even miss the musical numbers until someone here mentioned them.

I loved that UP won. That's going to be one of my all time favorites.

I can't stand watching Miley...she was way too slumped over and that dress was ill fitting on the top. It needed to be a size larger.

Sarah Jessica didn't look good. Her dress was weird and I hated all the hair!

I thought it was too long. I love Alec and Steve and thought they did well. I agree about Sandra Bullock. I don't think it was Oscar winning. Clooney was in on a gag, and the GF doesn't speak English. Maybe she was bored. The Hurt Locker never even came to my theater. I guess I can rent it. Precious never came either. Plan to rent that.

Demi Moore didn't hardly recognize her. She didn't look like herself for some reason. I started wondering if she had had plastic surgery or just aging like the rest of us.

I surf between the Oscars and other shows. i can understand their happiness of winning, but when they go on, and on, and on, and on with thanking every person they have ever known including their fifth, fourth, third, second and first cousins, gets very tiresome. Why can't they just send out Thank You notes????? LOL Dottie

We went to see Avatar with me kicking and screaming, I just didn't want to see it. Surprisingly, I loved it! Having seen the Hurt Locker and Avatar, I believe Avatar was robbed. It was so innovative and cool, especially in 3D. I read in Ent. Weekly that James Cameron is really disliked among academy voters, as is Quentin Tarantino. We also rented Ingolorious Basterds, and really like that too but it is really violent. I thought Brad Pitt (my all-time crush) was great and was surprised to see Ryan from the Office.

Actually, I thought the list was good change -- a
movie for everyone. I hate War Movies, so I
wouldn't have voted for "The Hurt Locker", but
