Lord, I wish I'd married a man who could cook...

Careful pecanpie, you may not like what he cooks. Only thing my wife and her family likes is my spaghetti and meatballs. Of course, the only s&m they had before mine was Chef Boyardee so maybe that isn't a valid testimonial.
In my defense, when I cook, or create, a dish I will have leftovers, even after freezing a couple of future meals. I take the remainder to the bartender at my local tavern. This started when she complained that everybody bought her drinks but nobody brought her food.
Since then, I have become famous and my offerings are jealously guarded by the recipient.
So you may get a man who can cook but you may not like his food.

Famous lakeron, I really cam't complain about the man I got. He's a keeper. And he eats what I cook, so I REALLY can't complain!

I suppose I could cry fraud, though- he told me he could cook when we were dating. Come to find out beenie weenies and microwave exploding hot dogs were his total repertoire. And still are.

Also, my file is in both a Word .doc format and a .pdf format. I do not, as yet, have them in Mastercook format; I don't know if I'll ever get to doing 160+ recipes in that way but if someone else on this forum has LOTS of time, have at it.

I've been a contributor only once and 'lurker' for quite awhile.
These days I'm not cooking complicated meals as I did years ago, when we entertained frequently. Now, all the old timer ailments happening -- bones creak, joints ache, etc. If you have the right music playing you can get a great rhythm happening.

I would very much appreciate the file you have compiled of soup recipes. Still desiring/craving wonderful, homemade soups.
