One...Corell with apples on them. I have no interest in "Fine" china. Makes no sense to me to take up space with a set of dishes that are rarely used.

Three- but two of them are no longer complete. I have an everyday set that we got when we married, then my MIL gave us the Corell with sunflowers when the kids arrived and now I have a set with kind of a soft floral/garden scene. Way too many but I can't seem to part with any of them.

Nine sets. DH and I inherited 4 sets, 1 from his mom and 3 from my mom. We don't have any "fancy" china, like Mikasa or Royal Doulton. DH and I both love dinnerware so we added 5 sets of our own. We like different dinnerware, like pasta and serving bowls with roosters, dinner and soup bowls with a transferware design of vegetables, a Thanskgiving turkey pattern, and a red and cream transferware pattern that we use for holidays. Call us nuts!

I've managed to keep the sets down to 4, but if it was up to me, I'd have 10. lol I love having different dinnerware. I have my mom's Mikasa for fancy, my everyday from Block/Gear (it has seasonal salad plates, so I have service for 16, 4 of each season) and Pfaltzgraf's Naturewood, which I never use for some goofy reason. I also have a set with artwork on it by my folk-art friend. And I have several sets of salad/dessert plates with themes on them that I can use with my everyday checkered dinner plates. And I have an assortment of California Pottery divided plates that we do use in the summer, all in bright summery colors and some melamine plates that we use on the verandah, more fun, pretty plates. We never run out of plates around here!

One--sold one set of china and one set of stoneware before we sold the house. Now I just use plain white Corell and I love it.

When we started our moving period, I downscaled. Sold the every day set, and started using the "good" set. It's our one and only set, and luckily I have broken only one plate, and chipped one soup plate (deep dish plate).

It consists of a set of 8.

But we also have 5 micowaveable all white correll plates.

We use 4 of the sets constantly so I don't feel so bad about having so many. :)

I just have 2 sets...my Blue Willow for everyday and my white dinnerware, with silver rims for 'company best'. Service for 12 of each.

I have a set of Pfaltzgraf that I bought at a yard sale as few years back. Serving for 8 with a few missing pieces. I paid $15 for them and we use them everyday. They are a grayish white with a blue ring around the edge. We also have an assortment of other plates/bowls that I've found at flea markets and yard sales. Nothing matches!

I really want to start collecting Fiesta in all the pretty colors.

One set of white Corelle ware. I have my mom's purple vine dishes packed up somewhere and should pull them out and use them. Or sell them. I have the purple water goblets that match them. We used to use them on special occasions when I was young. My daughter climbed up in the cupboard where I had the goblets and broke one and never told me. I found out about it when we stored a lot of stuff before our move. I really need to declutter around here!!

I've got 4 at the moment. One set of Corelle for everyday. It is white, with a bluish grey trim on the edge, and light pink flowers on it.
A set for 4, fine bone china, I got when I was about 15. Mom bought us a starter set for our hope chests. I've never used it, and it's packed still, from when I moved here.
I have a set of stoneware in the garage, waiting for the next garage sale. It's to heavy, and I used it before the set I use now.
Then my Christmas pattern for 12, Pfaltsgraf/Winterberry.

I have some Bob Timberlake rooster dishes that are in the attic right now.
We are using some old transfer pattern dishes for everyday eating.
I have two sets of Christmas dishes that I used to use every year when I had big family dinners. Due to my work schedule and family disfunctions as well as some relatives who moved far away I no longer have those huge dinners. There are 10 grandkids who still come and several in laws and outlaws, but now we just use paper plates.

I'm going to sell my Christmas dishes at a yard sale in a couple of weeks.

Two. I have my beautiful Portmeirion dishes that I use year round and I have a service for 4 of snowman dishes that I bought at a garage sale last fall. I haven't used the snowman dishes and don't know why I bought them.

Four. I have my china pattern that I picked out when I got married. I have a set of everyday dishes my in-laws once gave me. I have the Martha Stewart acorn collection. And I have a Christmas pattern set that my father gave me a few years ago. I love dishes, and I would have a lot more if I had room.

Most of the dishes are still in boxes and I have no idea. Probably 5. I use paperplates most of the time. I don't have a dishwasher in this house.

A mix of about four, Corelle green rimmed (only have a few large plates left), clear swirly glass ones from Wal-Mart (dinner and salad plates & bowls), and my old Pfaltzgraf (Heirloom, a couple large plates, one salad plate, quite a few mugs and saucers, and some of the serving bowls and creamer & sugar peices). And some bright colored plastic plates the kids could use outside to eat with their friends.

We have nine and we use them.

Two. A set of Pfaltzgraff (Village Pattern) for everyday. It was a wedding gift. And a set of Christmas dishes I drag out of storage once a year for two or three weeks use.

1-My parents set of china that they received for their wedding. Set of 12 (Hasn't been used in over 30 years!)

2-Avon Cape Cod Collection...was given to me by a friend, I continued on with the set until Avon quit selling them, I have a set of 6 for everything. (Haven't used it in years!)

3-A nice set of 12 of Corelle that my siblings gave us for our wedding 26 years ago.

4-A winter set of 12 that I bought a bunch of years ago..use them from Thanksgiving until January usually.

5-A set of 12 Corelle (Ivy) that I bought a few years ago....should have just used the 'good' Corelle instead! "/

Just my Fiestaware. My chipped set of Platzgraph which I used for 18 years is in my garage sale stuff.

I too like the many designs. When we moved here & downsized we knocked it down to one. We usually stick to paper plates though since we no longer have a dishwasher. :]

Oh my goodness! Funny, that you're asking this question at this time.

My niece is getting married and I just went through her list of registered gifts. I realized that I have so many and she has none. Her gifts included many kitchen items. I realized I have 3 or 4 sets of dinnerware and silverware. Just yesterday, I spent a few hours gathering some of these nice sets for her. She has similar taste and would enjoy using them.

3 -- Wedgeood stoneware we bought via an AF BX in England in the early 80's, Spode Christmas ware [which I don't always use] and some 'fine china' that i've not used in 4 years... Maybe I should entertain more -- or not... then I'd have to clean out the cobwebs in the corners..

I have five.....Pfaltgratz for every day, a set of china that DH got me 43 yrs ago (missing many pieces because of so much moving), a set my eldest DD bought for me in Holland (also missing pieces because they were packed poorly for shipment, a set of blue willow & a set of snowmen dishes that I can use all winter. I'm nuts for dishes...can't settle for service for 6 or 8...have to have at least service for 12.
