Both. I enjoy the hype during the game but don't necessarily watch all the hours and hours of pregame stuff. I do enjoy most of the commercials because they show a lot of creativity. For years we couldn't get the ads, only local ads by a car dealership that recently went into receivership - I think DH put a curse on them! But now we get the ads through the digital feed from Detroit.

Honestly, kermudgeon, I cannot wrap my brain around that idea I don't know what to say..the best answer would be that i've never looked at housework as a chore..I don't see it as something that has to be done but something I want done...hey, nobody ever said I was normal :)

Looking forward to investment group monthly meeting on Wed. evening that I've attended for about seven years ... subscribers to "Canadian MoneySaver" magazine that carries no ads, isn't slick, but is mostly writing ... I consider it CanAda's best personal money management magazine. The writers offer a means of contact at the end of their 2 - 3 page articles, and if one writes them about something worthwhile, they are quite good about answering. Our group, one of about 40 that meet in various locations in Canada, meets all year round, usually about 20 in winter, but 15 in summer ... saying that money works all of the time. I was visiting with my niece's family in GA last month, so missed it. Plus the other such group that I attend closes down from May till Sept. Various of the groups similar to this one run a contest each year - investing a hypothetical $100,000. in 5 investments at the beginning of Jan., to see who has the best result by the end of the year ... our group has not participated (up till now ... but I hope that they will in future). Canadians: Many libraries carry "Canadian MoneySaver" ... check it out ... perhaps you'd like to attend a group near you, contact information for each group is in each issue. Check their website at www.canadianmoneysaver.ca - they'll send you a sample copy if you ask. Apart from that ... I need to get busy staking my tomatoes in the garden ... there are a number of fruits that are getting creamy coloured, so they'll be ready soon. I hope that your week brings the fulfillment of one of your heart's desires. And the setting in place of another ... preferably one that involves helping others in some way, whether in your community or another part of this world, all of which God loves ... pretty well equally, it seems to me. On the screen at our church, they ask us to pray for two, or usually about three countries each week. ole joyful

Never been, and don't want to. I'm not into swarms of drunk and crazy people.

But ... would I love to visit New Orleans? Definitely!

No and really no desire to go. It would be interesting but there are so many places I'd really rather go. Even New Orleans at any time other than Mardi Gras.

I'll set by Stoney. I've never been and don't care to go. I don't like being around 1 drunk, let alone a city full. I'd like to visit New Orleans someday, along with some other southern areas.

I have been through New Orleans lots--born and raised in southwest Louisiana. I would love to visit there but not at Mardi Gras--we had our own town celebrations where I was from and I loved that--everyone knew everyone and it wasn't as crazy as New Orleans.
Must go buy some new dog biscuits for the doxies--so they can appreciate them today!! Sheila

Never had the desire to go to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. I don't do crowds either...especially drunk ones.

I would love to go any other time though.

I think I'd enjoy Mardi Gras except for the crowds. I've never been, not even to the one they have in St. Louis.. which I think I heard yesterday will no longer be held.

I went about 23 years ago. Ate great food, especially at Commanders Palace where Emeril himself was the chef. It was very crowded, I wouldn't want to go now.

No, but I have been to Galveston during Mardi Gras a few years ago. Loved it. I would like to visit NO but not during Mardi Gras. I have had King Cake when I lived in CA. Our boss was from NO and had a King Cake shipped in every year. Whoever got the baby in their piece of cake was supposed to pay for the cake the next year.

Haven't been to N.O since I was a child and I wasn't impressed then because every place we went to eat it was fish, fish and more fish. I don't eat fish! I remember I ate a lot of cole slaw. lol Funny what kids remember! lol

I wouldn't like Mardi Gras, I don't like people in masks and I don't like being around drunken people and I don't like crowds, so a crowd of masked drunks is OUT! lol

I was in Louisianna about 10 years ago and really enjoyed it. NOT during Mardis Gras, that would be the least time I would go.

We stayed in the French Quarter, and enjoyed fabulous food and music. The Garden District is so gorgeous.....

Have been to NOLA several times and I love it. Have never been during Mardi Gras and don't really want to go. I'm like so many of the other posters, crowds and drunks don't really appeal to me.

No, I've never been. Although I think it could be a ton of fun, I really, truly dislike being in crowds of drunken people, so I sincerely doubt that I will ever experience Mardi Gras first hand.

Many times. Live just a stone's throw away from N.O.
The way to go so that you are not right in the crowd is to book a room way ahead of time at The Bourbon Orleans. That way, you don't have to fight the traffic, crowds, or be mixed with the crazy drunks. You watch it all from a balcony, and talk about a show!
New Orleans is an awesome place to visit, but just as any big city, you have to be careful where you go.

I have not been to the Mardi Gras but have stayed in New Orleans, my husband used to attend electronics convention there. I didn't care to go to the convention center so I just stayed in my room and read. When he got back we would drive around and sight see. I am sure it isn't the same anymore.
