At this point in my life, the only business I would want to run would be a fabric shop, mostly all cottons, like a quilt shop or maybe a craft shop.

I'm too old to even "want" to open up a business, but I would be willing to teach some crafting classes for extra money once or twice a month in my home.

My daughter and I would love to have a yarn shop.

I used to have a business, a monogramming shop.

I am glad, to have "retired" from that. Took way to much time out of my life, without proper compensation.

I'm with doxiemom! Either a yarn shop (and someone who could come in and teach classes, cause I'm not that good) or a basket making supply. I love to knit & I like to weave. Maybe combine the two! But I don't think I want tied down that much, so I'll just buy from others.

I used to want to open a wild bird store (selling feeders/feed/etc.), I also think it would be fun to have a resale store that specialized in furniture and accessories.

I want to work a normal job with 40 hours, benefits and vacation.

It'd be a crafty, garden-junk kind of shop, flea market type. Crafters from around the area could come sell their items, in the summer we'd have fresh locally-grown produce.

Constructing and upholstering ottomans. I'd name it "Nora's Ottoman Empire" LOL.

I would buy a small farm, grow organically grown fruits and vegetables, sell them at a farm stand near the road. Maybe someday add a little restaurant and/or a small inn.

I would have a coffee place kind of like Starbucks.

I wouldn't want to open a business at this age.I'd just go work for Flamey.LOL,LOL

A plant store. Not a fancy florist, just a shop that sells house plants, potting soil, etc.

I used to have the urge to open a business, but it passed. Having been in a serious MVA that caused me to lose a lot of time from work due to the accident (when it happened), and later surgeries, it would be too much pressure for me to have a business any more. I would constantly worry that something would happen again.

So many things come to mind, but I like Kathsgrdn's idea. Oh to be young again!

Once it becomes work it's usually no longer fun. Unless you have your spouse working a regular job for benefits being a sole proprietor usually means bad teeth,poor health and a a lot of headaches.

I'd like to open up a combo Microsoft/Walmart business. Then I could get my teeth fixed, have minty fresh breath and no headaches.

I would like to be a consultant to help doctor's offices train their staff to be user friendly, efficient and organized.

I would love to have my own tanning salon along with nails and hair salon all within the same building.

Doing genealogy research for others.

I have a business of my own, a law office.

If I were going to open another business, it would be a high-end bakery, except that all I want to do is bake and talk to the customers, not deal with everything else. Which means that I won't be opening a high-end bakery.:)
