I ordered some patio furniture from Target. It came about a week later than their furthest-out estimated delivery date and was a bit of a nuisance to assemble, but I like it now. If you're looking for real sturdiness, I would probably go with the Pottery Barn table instead of the Target one, simply because the Target table is "some assembly required." I have an assembly-required table in my house (not from Target, but real wood), and it's not as sturdy as my non-assembly-required table. I've had to re-tighten the legs a few times. Of course, this may speak more poorly of my own assembling skills than of the table itself.... :) Oh, and you might want to check on how you'd return it and if you'd have to pay for return shipping if you seriouly think there's a chance you might want to send it back. The Additional Info tab on the link you provided says that it can't be returned to any store, which would mean that you could be stuck with re-packing and shipping a 132-pound table if you decide you really don't want it.

It's ok. A little over a year ago, we bought a white painted desk for our 3rd grader and when my DH was putting it together, he made me promise never to buy furniture with those little frisbee shaped disks of wood used in key places to keep it together. We were sure the desk would not survive the move we knew we'd be making in a year or so. It did, and isnt' even wobbling, so it ended up being pretty sturdy. I just bought two of their white "Cameron" bookcases. The two shelf one I was able to get upstairs and put together myself in about an hour. It looks fine, but the back piece is really thin and flimsy. There were no bisquited pieces; only screws (that had to go in with the provided hex key - total pain!). You have to be careful about making sure everything is aligned and inserted properly b/c the directions leave some details up to you to figure out (I learned after it was all standing upright and almost about to fully tighten the screws, that the top shelf was upside down. The only way to tell was that the tiny starter screw holes were showing on the thin back piece where the back piece is supposed to be screwed into the backs of the shelves.) Someone else might have thought, "Piece of junk, they left holes in the back piece for no reason!" Because the instructions said nothing about it. Anyway, it was painless enough that I just tonight brought home the backordered 4 shelf bookcase. I could barely get it int he door, so won't be able to put it together myself, unless I can find a strong friend to help get it upstairs. (DH is away this week.) For my kids new beds, I'm looking hard at the Young American collection by Stanley. The prices are comparable to PBK, and I think/hope the quality is much better. Firsthouse, I know what it is like to move into a new home, and want to update your furnishings. We are in our 6th house, and over 26 years I can't tell you how much we've spent on paint, mouldings, flooring, eavestroughs, new driveways, central vac, finished basements, landscaping, etc etc etc, and just when its time for new furniture, we seem to move on. I'm living with the same living room set I had before we were married. Over the years I've learned to "tweak", or update with accessories and fabrics. And now with a daughter just finishing 6 years college, and a son starting next year, I think my new living room furniture will be a few years down the road. My apologies ... I am rambling on!! Have fun with your dining table, and know that it will be a project you will take pride in down the road.

Hi, I found this while searching for a twin Stella quilt for my daughter's room- we currently have the crib set. I painted 3 walls light pink (the color of the back of the quilt), and the accent wall is striped with (from top): 15" darker yellow, 4" dark pink, 15" light yellow, 4" same dark pink... It repeats down the wall, and I ended up with 3 dark yellows and 2 lights- that's the only thing I wish I had done differently- think I should have done 3 lights and 2 darks... If you give me your email I can send a picture. I'm really happy with the bedding and am searching for the twin quilt since she's ready to be out of her crib!
