Refinishing Pottery Barn bed
Comments (27)if the support leg in the middle matches the rest of the bed, bring that into a paint store. they should be able to help you choose a matching stain or may advise on some other product. then go to an art store and find a really good quality, tiny brush. you'll want to apply the stain only to the scratches and not get it on the surrounding wood. practice in a less-noticeable area (you can quickly wipe the stain off before it dries). don't use those furniture touch up pens or crayons. they're crap. the ink in the pens fades to a completely different color over time (at least, the water based ones do). the crayons never seem to really fill in and can wipe off easily....See MorePottery Barn Toscana Pedestal table review?
Comments (20)An update to the above. The pottery barn website states (in the Q&A section) that the table top is smooth. Mine most definitely wasn't. Pottery barn has said they will refund me (including the shipping). It's so weird because other pictures online seem like the top is clearly smooth. I wonder if something changed about the finish??. I thought the legs might get in the way but they really didn;t and when extended six chairs easily fit. Anyways the table was basically perfect in every way... except that horrible, rough, plasticky, weird, sandpaper-rough finish on the top. If the top finish was normal it would be an awesome table. Sturdy and looked great. Oh well....See MorePottery barn brooks dining table surface problems
Comments (5)I would be well and truly furious. The question is, what do you do now? You’re not going to love this advice, but I would look for a new table that has a wood top, and a true pedestal base. You will be much happier with a better design, and a better quality piece. Arhaus is having a sale......See MorePottery Barn Owen Extendable table - review?
