Good morning, all. Another nice day predicted here....our snow is really going down fast, so leaving a lot of "snirt" behind.

Mornin'....Kath, is that seminar a selling pitch for for a product or a procedure or is it medically related?
It's going to be warm enough here to go for a walk in the park too. I'm so glad. I will take, Buddy, our black lab mix. I would love to take all three dogs, but one weighs over 150 pounds and the other two weigh about 80 pounds each. They are more than I can handle at one time and Luther, the 150 pound dog, will not come to me when he is called unless he wants to. If he were to break loose it could be bad news. I called two places listed in the phone book last week about some obedience classes for him. I got a recording at both places and left a message, but no one has returned a call.

I have some housework to do today and hope to get out in the yard this evening to do some work there.

Liz, I hope you sleep well. I worked midnight shift for almost 23 years and never slept well during the day. I felt like a zombie all those years.

No calls to sub today. Slow week. But I am scheduled the rest of the week. So I need to use today well. I dropped the kids at school and cameto the coffee shop where I am using my ipod to read and post. Takes longer to type and i make mistakes. I am going to stop though. Brought stuff to study/prepare for the test I will take the 28th. Start one last course online later today. Then a I will be done with all requirements. Six weeks from now I will just be waiting for the paperwork to process to get my full teaching certificate.... If only our school district was hiring. Sigh.

I'll sit here and studyan hour then go home and do some housework. It is our slow day for kids practices. Just one hockey practice tonight. So I ll make a real dinner.

Its dreary and misty now but promises to clear up later with high of 72.

Very windy here today, and I am glad it is an indoor day for exercises. :)

I will plant my rose bush today, and work at getting the wall paper border off in my bedroom. I want to get that finished.

Oh, and lets not forget, I plan to do my weight workout in a few minutes.

I'm off to the DGD's school to volunteer. We're still working on multiplication facts. I haven't seen them in 2 weeks b/c of spring break, so I'm expecting a lot of hugs. In 3rd grade they still love you. Then I'm leaving there, picking up one of my BFFs and we're going to the hosp. to do our volunteer work there. They feed us free, so we'll eat lunch first. I hope to leave there and go to the other hosp. and see Eva. I've got 2 books going and need to get some read on the book for the book group later this month. So, I'll fall in bed with that, a DH and Dave Letterman! A full day!

kathsgrdn, being a woman of substance myself, I empathize about the lack of nice clothes for plus sized women. We have one place here that sells only plus sized clothes but 95% of it is stuff I wouldn't wear on a bet. They are made out of clingy fabric which emphasizes every bulge and roll (just what a larger woman wants, right??) or are designed for those under 25 or is just plain butt-ugly. One place which had nice plus-sized casual clothing just went out of business. I can buy clothes at Tabi but it is very expensive. A new place which carries larger sizes is opening in May and I can't wait.

Hi everyone. It's no longer morning here. Guess it's time to find something for lunch. I woke up this morning, showered, put on clean pj's and ate breakfast. I sat in the recliner to watch tv and fell fast asleep again. I usually don't sleep that much! Anyway, I'm feeling better each day and able to put more weight on my leg. And I am still receiving cards from KTers! What a big smile I get when opening my mail each day. Now I need to decide where to display the cards. I love to look at them!
I'm getting anxious to walk out to the garden to see how the little plants responded to the long-awaited rains we have received.

Mscsippy, no it's not. It's a medical seminar for any related medical personnel. After taking it you get a certificate for training towards your yearly continuing education that you have to have in your career field. The only thing they sell are medically related learning materials and seminars.

Maryann, glad you're feeling better every day!

Just got home from the seminar, my feet are killing me. I wore cute little black shoes that scraped the heck out of my heels everytime I got up to walk. We got an hour lunch break and the only nearby restaurant was the Holiday Inn's buffet (which was expensive and I don't need that many temptations) and Denny's. Do you know how hard it is to find something not breaded and deep fried or made with bread or rolls there? I finally got a side salad (which was huge) and dressing on the side (they brought me a bowl of it! That and one skewer of grilled shrimp.

Alex stayed home from school today, probably with the same virus that Lauren had about a week ago. I'm going to go for a walk as soon as I stick the chicken (for dinner) in the oven.

Oh, the seminar was interesting but I didn't learn a whole lot of new info.
