I recently bought a townhouse in Vienna VA. I have a very limite budget to paint it, change my carpet and sanding my floor. I have been talking to this painter for a while, he offered $2000 if I paint the ceiling and wall in same color or $2400 for two in different colors. This is the cheapest I find so far. The thing is he also offered to buy the paint which is from Duron. He said it won't be the cheapest one, but the one above. He said it costs about the same to the brands in home depot, but for the same price, Duron has better quality. Is that true? I can also purchase paint myself. So I also consider some good quality paints like Benjamin Moore Aura. I called a local retailer today and they sell it for $59 per gallon. I need about 20 gallons for the walls and ceiling, 5 gallon semi-gloss for kitchen and bathrooms. That¡¯s way over my budget, I seriously need help and good advice.
