Regarding "curing," the GEII is actually a caulk that requires curing rather than drying. By allowing it to cure in a "controlled environment," the seal will be more stable. It is similar to concrete needing to cure rather than dry. If you'd let it cure outdoors in a hot, sunny location, it is possible the seal adhering the pieces won't be fully stable and could eventually fall apart. If you have ever seen concrete that wasn't properly cured, it crumbles and cracks. The GEII would do something similar. I did find the lady's shop on Etsy. She does have some pretty pieces. Wow! I had been ignoring this post because as beautiful as the sconce was (and it would be PERFECT in our house), I have all our light fixtures sitting patiently in our dining room and am out of money, but I missed out on so much fun! That's what I get for trying to stay on task! I must say, you are lucky to be able to barter sex for something so beautiful. Lately, I've had to be 'nice' in the bedroom so that I don't get kicked out of the house over the cabinet fiasco! I'm sure they will be worth it though. I'll have fond memories every time I retrieve a piece of china from the corner curio, brush my teeth at the bathroom vanity, pull the broom from the broom closet... Huh. This isn't actually working out for me. It would be more worth it if I could stare at those beautiful sconces. Maybe over our nightstands? ;-) j.

A lot of the knockoffs are made in China and not very well constructed. I believe the joint on the Barcelona chair is patented so it can't be duplicated exactly. I don't find Barcelona chairs particularly comfortable, but the knock-offs are deadly imo. FYI I paid, including auction price, premium and sales tax slightly under $2000.00 for the pair and this was in an unreserved auction with a bit of competitive bidding but I came out under high estimate. These were considered a good deal, if you can believe it. A pair of Womb chairs in the fabric I would likely choose would probably be close to $8000 new, and I can come in Way under that doing it this way, plus spread it out over a couple years.
