http://www.highhopes.com/3dstar.html white paper directions (I printed out this and a colored paper one and it is easier for me to follow the colored one) I mess up all the time...but I just go with it cause they come out different....or fall apart, lol. Be sure to bend the end of the blinds to see if they will fold without breaking before you get started. If they break, they are too old and brittle. I used some regular blinds and some of the vertical ones. I have cut them into smaller strips as well as use whole. And if there were ends cut off, I used them for smaller ones...and kept on until they were too small to cut and fold, lol. I am posting these here cause they are curb finds and I used them as garden junk. I am going to go over under the crafts forum and post some more there on the Paper Crafts site. Lucky you to have a set. I've been wanting some to make a bench. Randomly glue (use a spray glue) some of the pages together in each book. Stack the books together so that they are the same height & level. When you get them set just right, then glue those books together. I would think silicone two would work but you might consider a construction type epoxy. The stacks of books will be the legs of your bench. Then put a top of some sort for sitting, on the legs. I like the look of all the bindings showing on one side. So, I would stack them all the same way and glue those little wedges of wood that are used to shimmy doors & windows to level the stacks of books. When everything is dried, I'd throw on several coats of a sealant. The books will probably soak up a lot of the seal, but it would be worth it to me to get that look. Hope you do use them for something. I kick myself now for letting a set go that my Mom & Dad bought when I was a kid. Never entered my mind that someday I'd be in love with junk! Vickie

Someone must have the answer. My first thought was water. maybe hot water - really hot. I know a heat gun will practically destroy it but maybe if you try a piece in the hottest water your fingers can stand it might work, At least the water shouldn't hurt it.

We do. My husband made a Menorah out of plywood...it stands about 3 feet tall and spray painted it silver. Then he drilled holes throughout it and we inserted tiny white lights. On top of the menorah we have the larger blue bulbs. With each night of Hanukkah we light another blue bulb (we screw it in tighter). This in is our front yard. The neighbors have always enjoyed this. We also have a Star of David with lights on it in the window. We have a banner made out of wood painted blue with silver lettering...SHALOM***PEACE...with a dove on it. This hangs on a large grapevine wreath we have outdoors. Inside I have a fake ficus tree with white lights and at Hanukkah I add Hanukkah ornaments that I have purchased over the past few years. There are a few more small decorations in our house. One year...about 10 years ago the Louisville Courier Journal came out and took a picture of our home and it was featured in the paper with other house decorated for X-mas.
