I had originally planned a stay at The Georgian Terrace in Atlanta with a few activities and dinner at Livingston’s but canceled because the restaurant is STILL not open for dinner since their pandemic closing. We substituted a trip elsewhere a couple of weeks ago, and, thankfully, still had the club reservations I made as a backup. As a rule we don’t care for crowds either but over the years have enjoyed looking at all the couples celebrating Valentine’s Day and wondering about their stories and lives. The first timers are usually easy to spot 🙂

I volunteer at a garden in a Southern California park and we try to have red tulips blooming for Valentine’s day. Nailed it this year! We have to refrigerate the bulbs and then plant at three different times to be sure some are blooming.

Your table is beautiful! I love the colors— had a suit in the 1980’s that was pink and navy and wore it out. It’s so lovely to see someone using their china and silver ❤️ I have set our table for the Sunday after Valentine’s for our family dinner. It’s very similar to last year; I haven’t gotten out all the hearts and special accessories yet. The settings with preschool grandchildren are by necessity more engaging than elegant.
