Crystal, thats a great idea! I think I have some of those packed away with my Daughters baby toys and some other stuff I am saving for her. Well if I can talk my hubby into pulling out tons of boxes packed away under the stairwell I will have to check it out. But I don't think I have the holiday ones. Pam

I wasn't familiar with the color so I pulled it up on my computer. Personally, I think it's a nice rich color with a lot of depth to it that some may be read as plum as some may read as brown. That's what makes it interesting to me. I worry that doing the stenciling may cheapen the look. Have you tried fooling around with different light bulbs to see if that makes a difference? What other colors are in the room - trim, tile, etc.? Maybe they're contributing to pulling out the brown. If you love the color and everyone else loves the color, whatever they see, I'd probably leave it alone. Make sure you spray very light coats, heavy coats may run. If the stencil is a running pattern, you can overlap.. so that it would look like one continuous pattern. That depends on the particular stencil you have though. Hope that makes sense.
