After refinishing our floor I had the same thought (particularly after paying the bill for the refinishing), I don't want to have to do this again any time soon... I bought the Slip Stick "sliders" for my barstools, they replace the original nylon pads and screw in (but also have adhesive) so they will stay put. You didn't ask about this, but just as a general FYI, Slip Stick also offers "Grippers" which I put on my sofa and chairs which sit on the wood floors as well, and OHMYGOSH, if only I'd found these before. For years my stuff has slid every time someone sat down on it, even when I had the front feet on rugs --- now everything stays right where I put it. Love this slip stick stuff. I was able to find it at Rocker as well as a local True Value store. I think I even was able to pick it up via Amazon (can you tell I've gone gaga over this stuff???). I never had much luck with felt staying on, have tried the felt bottom cups and gripper cup things from Home Depot and they mostly stayed put while my furniture jumped out of them, I got pretty tired of wrenching my back trying to lift them back into the cups so I gave up. Mantis_oh: National Treasure is a pretty good grower - it won't take over the garden. It looks very nice when both sets of scapes are blooming. Ralph Haehn is the hybridizer Buckeye Touch of MIdas. He is definitely a back-yard hybridizer who lives in Northeastern Ohio. He does not sell his introductions. You have to beg and plead to get one and be a friend. I got Buckeye Touch of Midas and Maudine Campus Queen through a mutual friend. I am not sure where I got Buckeye Barnstormer but it has some distribution, as I bought some more of it from an aquaintance in Georgia. As a Buckeye, you will appreciate the name Maudine Campus Queen. Many years ago the Ag. fraternity at Ohio State put up the name Maudine Ormsby for homecoming queen. She won. Maudine was a cow in the dairy department.
