Here are some of my photos from my recent trip to the big city and the Philly Phood Phrenzy!

My favorite is the one of the blue crabs. I can't take my eyes off it.

My mother is having great luck with lettuce. My peas, cabbage, potatoes, radishes, beets & carrots all look good. My poor tomatoes, cukes & squash aren't doing much. This is a disappointing summer. In fact, downright depressing over on this side of the pond (Lake Champlain, that is) Other people are having better luck with cukes than I, so it might be the soil in the container. I'm going to plant more peas & lettuce this week. Back to the topic...beans. Maybe some bush beans that take 60 days. However, I think a better bet might be something like one of the tall pea varieties like Tall Telephone/Alderman or Sugar Snap peas (around 65 days I think) because they will germinate in this weather. Even if things get hot, by the time they are ready to harvest, the weather will probably have cooled off. Of course it's all guess work at this point! It's bad, but I try not to complain too loudly because the family dairy farmers over here have it much worse with lousy milk prices & corn crops doing poorly.

Thanks for the reply. Im currently in Therapy 3 times a week. The specialist needed to work on my thumb doesnt accept BCBS and their the only option where im at. Was hoping to find some people here who have gone through tendon issues also

3-4 weeks after template is a long time to wait......average kitchen (50-60sf) with sink cutout "can" be fabricated 100% in less than 1 day so the rest of the time your paperwork is just sitting idle...... but prob gets cut 5 days before install, polished the next day, sink fab the next day, sits on a rack for a day, goes out the next.....my customers are reasonably happy with 7 biz days after template, but many think that is way too long....that gives us just enough time to do the fab right,(and remake anything that breaks wrong/damaged) and work it into the correct spot for installation....and we do at least 30 kitchens a week, sometimes twice that... I don't have any customers that would be ok with 3-4 weeks after template...... def get the cab guy to fab a temp top from plywood and drop in your old sink in it and plumb it for your convenience....its the least they could do....(because he is getting paid via kickback/markup from the granite co for sending the biz to them, whether he admits it or not).....nothing wrong with it, just part of the normal biz, but they should accommodate you ........

Nice pictures. Yes, the blue crabs could be framed and hung on the wall -- that would be the photo not the real thing.

I totally agree with LPink! I confess, I've never had blue crabs, although, I swear I have been out of Tennessee a couple of times. How sad is that!:-)

Georgeous pictures, very vivid and happy. I hadn't even heard about blue crabs. Are they blue inside? Hope not, LOL. Sounds like a great trip.

Jude, I've never had a blue crab either, but those are a lovely color of blue, I'd sure give one a try.

Wasn't there a thread last year about chicken feet? I thought the idea of doing anything with them was gross, and still do, but now I don't remember what anyone WAS doing with them.

And yes, Annie, I'd give the blue crabs a try too.
