Jorge tried to do the mountain goat thing and climb some rocks but I wasn't too keen on the idea :) Darbardi, I took some of some cactus and some rocks, nothing very inspiring. There were some fires up in L.A. and the haze was pretty thick. Carla, glad all you guys had a super experience. Morz, don't you just love the place? It's still a step back in time for the most part although houses are being built in a few places. The desert always tranquilizes me as soon as I drive into it. Meredith, yes I do. "...too warm - in the mid 80s..." It never went above 15 yesterday here in VT. I woke up to SIX degrees this morning. As of yesterday, Diane had made almost $4500.00 in sales. She has today to go and we do another show the same size next weekend. That's why I'm home making product. Please don't misunderstand, I'm not bragging about the sales. As professional exhibitors this is what we do for a living, so those sales are our sole income. That's why we do over 40 shows per year. Some shows I'll make under $200 and others we'll make over $6,000. But it averages out to a middle class income, just like a "real" job. And that's exactly what it is. A "real" job.

Jannie, Suggest you find some other friends, as soon you'll probably find that your interests are different now than those of your old work buddies. I think you may also find that they get a bit negative, due to jealousy of your good fortune. As we get older, I've suggested that we keep learning new interests, finding new friends. Some have said that they have a lot of friends, now - so why bother? I replied that yes, you do have quite a few friends - and you'll keep losing them, whether from moving far away, heavy disability (e.g. Alzheimer's) and death. When it's your turn to go, of course, that problem of losing friends disappears. They ain't no trapdoors in heaven, I've heard - once they let you in, you're there. So no more losing friends, right? Enjoy each day as it comes. ole joyful
