I liked the youngest girl and the last 3 that sang the best. Most were really boring auditions again tonight. I really like 60's music, but didn't like a lot of the songs they (the guys and girls) chose.

There were some good ones....for real...but I liked the guys better.

But I always like the guys best....I like the deeper voices.

besides....they are nicer to look at...

I totally did not get Amanda at all. YUCK.

Either Amanda is hard headed or she simply isn't getting it. Tonight was the third time one of the judges told her to do something different and show she can actually sing. I hope she gets the message next time or gets voted off. She does hard rock really well. I don't begrudge anyone that type of music if they like it, but it isn't pop and maybe she can't do pop.

I think Carly has the best voice of all the girls, but she's not entertaining at all. She better get a clue. She strikes me as someone who is not friendly with the other contestants.

Brooke is our new Carly Simon. She can't win the show, but I hope she gets a recording contract. We need another like her. Will be very refreshing.

Alexandrea has a fantastic voice. I like the way she glides from natural to falsetto, and she has a strong falsetto to boot. That's really rare. She is so nasal I don't know how she sings so well. Maybe she is one of the ones who had the flu.

Syesha didn't do nearly as well as she is capable of. She did better when she was hoarse. LOL

I wouldn't be surprised if Ramiele wins the show. All that voice with awesome control and she's a little cutie pie, too.

Asia'h is so nasal it seems weird she can keep up with the words. I like the way she sings though, and she's very entertaining.

Amanda? The only word that came to mind was trampy.

The boys were easier to listen to than the girls.

All things considered from my perspective: That is not my type of singing.

I really like Amanda! I love her voice, and am glad to hear something "different" from the slow ballads everyone seems to pick out. But, my fave is David Archuleta! He has an awesome voice!

I like the 60's songs but think some could have picked better. The 60's had the best music ever, IMO...No Beatles, Beach Boys, Rolling stones, Simon&Garfunkel??..I think the younger ones were quite good. Still don't know their names.

As to song choice--they're given a list to pick from. Perhaps some of the 'big groups' aren't on it? Royalties, and all that?

I know Carly's good, but she leaves me cold. Perhaps because she just never seems to sing with any personality--she could be a stereo speaker for all the emotion she shows when she sings. Also, she's not really American, is she? She couldn't compete last year because her visa had expired, so it seems a little unfair for her to be in the running for AMERICAN Idol. Oddly, though, I like the Australian fellow (and I'm not sure if he's a citizen or not), so perhaps that's just rationalization for simply not liking Carly?

David's adorable, and there were several girls that I really enjoyed--Asiah', Syesha, Ramiele.

And while it's not usually my kind of music, Amanda is amazing. I actually have a lot of respect for the kids who go, know they're good, and who stay true to their own genre. She isn't a sweet ballad singer--she's doing what she does best, and so far, sticking to it. Good for her.

I cant keep track of the names. but my pick is that tiny little dark haired gal! And in the BOYS dept,the 17 year old baby faced kid that looks like hes 12,,,lol! American Idol is not exactly my cup of tea,,,,Im 60 years old,,,but I got to watching it with my teen when she was home and I do like to see who wins.

Well I have only one thing to say about the girls. Amanda Overmyer is a nurse in real life. I would think I was dead if I woke up to someone dressed and acting like that at my bedside. Funny my DH and I both commented about that at the same time. Probably because we are seniors. She would be a big hit with the younger generations.

I am convinced viewership is down this year. I am so sick of them talking about the competition being the best of all the seasons. It just has to be a ploy to get people to tune in. Maybe two of these singers can hold a candle to last year's contestants. So many of them were awesome and were cheated out of their rightful place by Sanjaya and Antonella thanks to that "Vote for the Worst" site.

So far I like the guys better, too. Amanda doesn't do it for me. It's just not my thing but more power to her to sing the way she wants to & everyone says she's good at it. I'll be anxious to see who leaves tonight.

My 5 yo has a t-shirt with a picture of a skunk on it. It has the words 'stinky skunk'. Ds took one look at the rocker and said she looks like 'stinky skunk'. I had to agree. I didn't care for her singing either.

I really only liked the girls at the end. I agreed with Simon on much of what he said.
