I just watched Chikezie three times. He really TORE IT UP! He's not one of my favorites, but I gotta give the guy this one. Well, gotta give him last week, too.

What I don't understand is out of the thousands that tried out why can't the finalists stay on tune when they sing: so many are off key or don't hit the notes.

I wonder that too, Minnie. Warning: Don't listen to this show without looking. For example, don't go into another room while the contestants are singing. They sound nothing short of awful constantly going off key. I loved David Arhuleta's performance a few minutes ago, but good grief you'd never know the guy was ever in a band or anybody's favorite. He finally got it together and it became very enjoyable. So many of them do that though. Maybe they can't really hear the music very well. I don't know what the problem is. I think the worst offenders have already been voted off. I hope, anyway.

David Archuleta sang already? Did I miss it? So, far I've only liked Carley and kinda Brooke's songs. I used to be a big Beatle fan when I was a preteen and teenager. I couldn't stand most of the singers so far. They destroyed the songs.

David Archuleta has not performed yet tonight. Amanda just finished.

Ok, good, thought I missed something. Hated Amanda, every song she sings the exact same way.

The only one I really liked was Carley, thought Brooke was ok too. Everyone else sucked. Poor David Archuleta. He's still my favorite, though.

Chikezie was great tonight! I also liked Carly's song and David Cook's performance. Some of my favorites like Ramielle and Michael didn't really do much for me tonight.

I think Kristy might be going home tomorrow.

I LOVED Chikezie! Really liked Carly and Brooke, too. I liked Kristy's country version. Had we not known the song otherwise, I think it would have gone over very well. I didn't see anything wrong with it. I agree Ramiele and Michael were disappointing. Can't believe Michael has not shown us what he can really do since the auditions. Afraid he'll be the one to go home tomorrow. He is my favorite, but he's treading thin ice. Still think Ramiele will win this year.

I was so disappointed in David and Jason both tonight!!

David Cook was great and Brooke did well.

Chickeze was on fire. I was ready to vote him off the first night but he came back strong this time.

I thought Kristy's countrified song would have been much better if she had slowed it down some. I didn't think she and her musicians/backup singers were moving at the same pace.

I felt really bad for David Archuleta but I was VERY impressed that he kept right on singing. If I had locked up like that, I wouldn't have been able to keep going.

Loved Brooke tonight, she gave a very moving performance and again, selected a perfect song. I don't think she'll win the whole thing, but I'm very pleased she's come this far and I know I'd buy a CD of hers.

Still waiting for Michael Johns to be awesome. He's sure a cutie. I liked Jason, but wasn't blown away by his choice tonight. Chikizee was terrific, as was Carly. As good as she is to listen to, I don't like watching her facial expressions while she sings. And speaking of that, somebody needs to tell David Archuleta to quit licking his lips like that! LOL!

For me, David Hernandez and Amanda should go home tomorrow.

My three favorites are Jason Castro, David Cook and Chikezi. I like David Archuleta too. I guess he would be my 4th choice. But he did terrible tonight, and it really bugs me the way he licks his lips, hugely, during every pause. :/
There is just something so appealing to me about Jason Castro. I love the inflections in his singing voice and the way he adds to or changes each song he does from the original.

Well I thought Brooke did great....theydidn;t seem to like her tonight. So much for taking risks and keeping true to herself!

Jason Castro is such a cutie. I wish he'd get rid of that hair. Dh commented on how fitting it was for the flys to be be buzzing around during that interview.

I didn't care for Carly last night. That tattoo is distracting. Chikezie did great. He needs more stage presence or something to make him more memorable. The personality doesn't seem to be there.

Christy ee Cooks song was awful. I would have sworn that had already been made into a county song and her version was a bad rendition of it.

My vote is for that little David Archuletta guy...so he forgot a few words.I didnt even notice until someone pointed it out. Despite some poor song choices he still has such a great voice and potential. Im not liking any of the girls.Shakezie( or however you spell it) was a hit with me last night, but over all little David will still get my vote..Im too old for American Idol anyway,,my dd watches and I gotta see who wins.LOl! I do like that gal that was a nanny, but I dont see her as Idol material. She just seems sweet.

I thought my hunk David Hernandez didn't do so well last night. I'm thinking Jason might take it home.

But, these kids don't have a clue about the Beatles Songs. At least no one sang Rocky Raccoon or Yellow Submarine. LOL!

Man oh man! I agree - if you listen to a lot of the singers and aren't distracted by seeing them - you'd get up and leave if you were in a club with them! LOL

How they can keep saying that this year is the most talented group is beyond me!

I was disappointed in all of them last night.

I Like Carly and Brooke. Kristy would have done fine but I thought the band was playing too fast. She couldn't keep up with the music.

I felt bad when David forgot the words to his song.

I didn't think the rest of them were that great considering the huge selection of songs they had to choose from.
