Idol and Glee tonight

It's going to be tough sending someone home tomorrow. I think they all did very well... especially the guys having to sing Shania songs. Loved Lee and Casey as always. Thought Aaron did a very good job too. Not as impressed with the girls tonight. I didn't think Siobhan sounded all that good, but the judges liked it.

I think Big Mike or Siobhan might be going home.

I really enjoyed Glee tonight as well. I kept getting teary eyed... for Kurt, then Will and Mercedes, then Finn and even April! lol I wish Glee was on every night.

Loved Casey too! They all did well tho I really agree I didnt like Siobhan that much. Its really getting to be a competition now. I thought Chrystal and Lee would be the final 2, but not so sure now?? Crystal for sure tho.

Lydia, why didn't you tell me about Glee last year? We've only just started watching it, last night was our 2nd time, and while we didn't get teary-eyed (we don't KNOW these people!) we did enjoy the songs a lot and also the story line about the boy's dad's chair, mom dating, etc. I've got the DVD of the first 13 episodes reserved at the library, that ought to help us catch up, huh?

There is a lot of talent in those girls...and such pretty girls...Most of them seem to have the voice and looks to be "stars"... I haven't even seen any of the guys yet...must be something else on at the same time that Denny watches. Do the guys have as much talent? patti

I missed Naima's performance, and I wanted to hear her. I was thinking that Thia Megia had some pitch problems, but then Steven Tyler immediately said she was pitch perfect. I have a pretty good musical ear, but I'm willing to concede the argument to Steven. I wasn't thrilled with her, though. I agree that Lauren Alaina, at 16, is a complete natural. I think she'll go far in the competition. I disagreed with Jennifer's assessment that Lauren Turner (?) was holding back in her performance. I'm unfamiliar with the song she sang, but it seemed to me that she put everything into it. I also disagreed with Randy when he said Haley didn't bring anything unique to the Alicia Keys song ("Falling in and Out of Love"). I thought she really made it her own. I missed some others in the first half hour. I read that somebody sang the Fiona Apple song "Criminal," which I would have liked have heard because I like it. I liked Pia's performance. I wondered if the standing ovation was entirely in response to her song, or maybe partly inspired by the fact that she was the last singer. I thought she did a good job, though. I wasn't bored. :-) PS: How does the wild card thing work?

I don't consider Rhianna a great singer. All her songs have that echo effect which I think makes her sound better than she is. As for Mike who could have been voted off, though he's a good singer, I think they should have let him go. He doesn't bring anything different to the stage like Crystal, Casey, and that funky girl do. Everything he sings sounds the same and to me, a REAL singer, can change things up a bit. They should have saved the vote for another person, and I think they will wish they had later.

I've finally became a James fan after the last two weeks of hearing him sing. His voice is beautiful when he actually lets it be heard outside of all the screaming from metal music. I liked Casey a lot and also Scotty this week. It was great to see Scotty do something different with his voice, but don't see him winning. I like Lauren too. At this point, I'm hoping it will be Casey and James in the end. They both are great performers on stage over the others as well, and they are quite versatile which is important, IMO. I think Jacob will be going tonight.

What Flamingo!! You didn't get that singing telegram I sent telling you all about Glee?? lol You'll have fun watching the first episodes. My all time favorite is the one where Finn tells Quinn's parents that she is pregnant_.

With every passing week, I like Lee more and more. If he had a CD available, I would rush out at lunch time and buy it today! I thought both Lee and Casey did a wonderful job last night. Although Crystal's performance was good, I thought she was a little "off" last night. Maybe she was just having a bad night. Aaron was good and I think he will still be here next week. He just seems like such a sweet kid and you can tell that he really loves singing. I think he's going to get a lot of votes from the young girls, who usually are heavy voters. Personally, I didn't care for Big Mike's performance or for Siobhan's. Out of the two, I think I preferred Big Mike. So, who do you think will be going home tonight?
