American Idol Guys Tonight

It's going to be tough letting just 5 out of the 12 guys go through to the top 10. I counted 8 that I think should go through. My favorite is still Paul McDonald.

Does anyone know if the judges 'wild cards' have to be one guy and one girl or could it be 2 guys or 2 girls?

So.. what did you think of the guys?

I liked many of them. If only I could remember their names, so I could tell you. LOL

Well, I loved the guy who sang "A House is Not a Home." I just remembered--Jacob Lusk. Omigosh, what a voice!!

I was impressed with the rocker who sang the Judas Priest song. Was it James Durbin? He really knows how to do it.

And I grinned throughout Casey Abrams' performance. What a cool singer! Why was he hospitalized, do you know? I was glad to see him looking good tonight.

James Durbin nailed it to the wall! He was fantastic! Jacob Lusk, loved him too. And the only reason I know their names is because you were kind enough to say them here. I suck at names............. The country singer? Well, he's a sure thing to make it to the top ten. If not further. I can only think of two that probably won't make this cut.

And I'm still loving Steve, Jennifer and Randy this year. They're so great together.

Yes, Ellen said today on her show that she is not part of the auditions b/c that took place before her acceptance. She will eventually be on once that narrow it down. It will be interesting to see who they find to replace Simon. I really like him and think he does a GREAT job on the show in terms of who really was good and not, and the constructive criticism he gives. He'll be a hard one to follow.

Not hardly the only one, Susan. Syesha is a great singer. She's another one I don't understand why people dislike her. Really bugging me to know what is going here, but I know I never will. No one will admit it, anyway. Chikeze is better than at least three other contestants - Jason, Kristy, and Ramiele. Jason is a cutie pie with a nice voice, but he's not a great singer and he's NOT a good performer at all. Kristy should have gone ages ago but taking only her performance Tuesday night, my 8 year old could have done at least as good a job with a song so beloved in the country. She, or whoever chose that song for her, was a marketing genius for that moment and kept her in the contest another week. Ramiele has either lost enthusiasm or is totally lost. The only thing I can figure must be happening is the producers are controlling the outcome or voters are not being honest with these people - true to themselves but not the contestants. So not fair at all!

I don't consider Rhianna a great singer. All her songs have that echo effect which I think makes her sound better than she is. As for Mike who could have been voted off, though he's a good singer, I think they should have let him go. He doesn't bring anything different to the stage like Crystal, Casey, and that funky girl do. Everything he sings sounds the same and to me, a REAL singer, can change things up a bit. They should have saved the vote for another person, and I think they will wish they had later.

I've finally became a James fan after the last two weeks of hearing him sing. His voice is beautiful when he actually lets it be heard outside of all the screaming from metal music. I liked Casey a lot and also Scotty this week. It was great to see Scotty do something different with his voice, but don't see him winning. I like Lauren too. At this point, I'm hoping it will be Casey and James in the end. They both are great performers on stage over the others as well, and they are quite versatile which is important, IMO. I think Jacob will be going tonight.

Oh, yeah--how could I not mention Scotty? He's such a pure country singer. Love the voice and his whole sweet presentation.

my top fave guy is still Casey Abrams love the red hair and that Jennifer said he was sexy. He said he was out to prove guys that look like him can be sexy. I think he is very cute and that voice is awesome very talented guy.

I actually was with the judges in shedding a tear when Jacob Lusk sang he is one of those wow singers.

Scotty he will be a country music star no matter what happens on Idol.

james Durbin kicked it in gear. He is going to be the rocker for sure.

Paul McDonald loved his rendition of Maggie Mae, so quirky in voice and movement but very appealing.

I think the definite go home was Jordan Dorsey and he thinks so highly of himself too, after making every one
audition just to be in his group that group night, I knew he was going to be a fail.

Love the judges, they are doing a great job.

Is Jordan the guy with the funky black glasses? If so, I just can't make myself like him after how he treated the cute little kid that got cut. His ego is waaay out of proportion to his ability in my humble opinion.

Thought Casey did a wonderful job. Was glad that Scotty got away from another Josh Turner song. The one he did fit him very well, I thought.

James Durbin was wonderful.

Paul McDonald - I like his voice but really didn't like his performance as well tonight as what I've heard him do before.

I agree - they've got some talent this year, no doubt about it.

Couldn't stand Paul McDonald's Maggie Mae. Awful. I voted on-line for the first time since I started watching AI, last night. I voted for Scotty and James Durbin. No one in my house likes the guy who kicked the young guy with the sweet voice off his team.

I really like Paul McDonald's voice, so different. James Durbin really rocked the house. WoW, he's really good. It's hard to imagine which 5 get to stay, there is alot of talent up there this year.
This is only the second year I have watched it from the start. I love Steven Tyler !

James Durbin was great. Like Paul McDonald but not crazy about his performance last night. Can't stand the kid with the glasses. The little guy with long curly hair, he's o.k. but not in the same league as James and Paul. Jordan needs to go. Really like Casey. And, I don't know what it is but I don't like Jacob Lusk at all. Oh and the kid with the deep voice is awesome. I don't know that he will win this, but like others said, he's going to be a star in country music. I can't believe that boy is 16! Oh, and the boy from Long Island, didn't do the best last night, but love his voice.

The guy with the glasses is Clint. I do like his singing, but didn't like the way he treated the young boy in the auditions. Jordin (black guy) is the one who made everyone sing before he'd let them in his group.

I think Jacob Lusk can sing really well... but it's not the type of music I listen to. Scotty is good too with his deep country voice, but I see everything he sings sounding the same. Maybe he will surprise me?
