I didn't think they were, but maybe I just didn't pick up on it.
The first one just got sent home and I think they made the right decision.

I picked the 3 lowest guys right in an earlier post today. I agree that the first girl should not have went home, the second I was not surprised about.

The boys that went home - Jason - the one with the 8 year old son from Grand Prairie, TX.

Robbie - "rocker" with the long hair that ended up being a wig.

The girls - Alexandrea and Alaina - Alaina was my favorite of the girls - boo hoo.

I saw the girls this week, and I'm trying to figure out which one was Alexandrea. What did she sing?

I thought Amanda was pretty awful.

You know, I don't think they said who got the top votes. I know at one point, they told someone they were in the bottom 3 but I can't remember who it was.

Amanda is horrid, but there is a website called "vote for the worst" dot com that helped keep her and Danny there, and I think that's awful. It's the same place that kept Sanjaya going for so long. It's sickening to me that people can be so mean as to not only put people's pictures on a website and encourage people to vote because they are so bad, but to also kill the dreams of the ones who deserve to stay.

They don't say who got the top votes. The bottom 3 are always the one that goes home plus the other two that stand together with one getting sent home.

Vote for the Worst may make a difference during this part of the show by giving less popular contestants more votes and keeping them in the game for a few more weeks..but in the end I don't think it matters. Most of the kids will get some sort of record or modeling/acting deal out of being on the top 24 anyhow.

More often than not, the (good) ones that stay longer get the offers. Alexandrea is a very good singer and entertainer and didn't deserve to go home so soon. With that said, I half-heartedly agree with the premise of that Worst site.

While Danny Noriega is Sanjaya reincarnate, Amanda will get a record deal regardless. Someone wants a woman in hard rock, and she's good at it. Can't sing a lick but can yell and grind really well. It's what they like.

I was kind of surprised to see that Alaina went home. I have to admit that I didn't like her facial expressions when she sang.

If I'm correct, Alexandria wore cargo shorts for her song the other night. I didn't like that. It looked wrong for the part.

I didn't care for either guy either. Jason had a typecast look to him. To me, Robbie looks like Axel Rose from Guns n Roses. Everyone knows that Axel only has one dance move. (Admittedly, Axel is a much better singer.)

kathsgrdn - they were talking about it on the radio yesterday and today. I can't remember where their source was from. I'll see if I can find out.

Last night's show got quite emotional there at the end. It amazed me when Alaina sobbed that she did not want to sing but did a terrific job nonetheless. The other girls gathering around her was sweet.

And poor David A. he was all broke up but with his stage smarts, he managed to keep his face turned away from the cameras most of the time.

I love David A's voice and he's a real cutie but his raspy breathing between lyrics drives me nuts. I wonder if he'll outgrow that or if training will help. To me it spoils the wondrous beauty of his voice.

I really like David A. My DD loves Danny. She just thinks he is so cute (she's 15). I like his personality.

For some reason, Danny reminds me of a girl. I just can't get over that. I love David A. but wanted Amanda to leave last night, not Alaina. I'm hoping Amanda gets cut very soon. Can't stand her. JMHO
