I would match the garage door to the roof. No black. No windows, they just increase the grinning face illusion. The black front door is a good idea, but I would use a colonial style. Other colour ideas could include deep plum and burgundy. Your home is traditional, embrace it!

This is a recommended color from SW for Mindful Gray…homburg gray. I would do this on the shutters and the garage doors and leave the wood door as is. The two middle windows shouldn’t have shutters as the won’t fit appropriately, but you are not painting the siding and the darker outlines of the shutters will show if you don’t replace what was there. Personally, would like the house with out shutters and would probably paint the siding and garage doors and have no shutters at all.

I can't buy a new door right now, but I will refer back to these when I am ready. :) Regarding the color selection, right now I'm leaning towards the orange. Has anyone ever used Ben Moore's Racing Orange? I'm wondering if that would be the burnt orange I'm looking for. I'm in a very traditional neighborhood and do not want to shock my neighbors with anything too bright.
