No posts from Glenda for the past few days, is she on a cruise ship somewhere?

I'm here.

Been in a low mode. Kinda depressed! Been sleeping a lot, and just don't feel like talking. Have posted at some threads.

I'll bounce back! I hope.

Hi there back to you! I've been incredibly busy with my volunteer work for DD's chorale group lately and it put me very far behind with my Christmas decorating, shopping, Christmas card writing, cleaning . . . and sleep! We put on a big Renaissance-style, 5-course madrigal dinner production for over 250 people and I was in charge of publicity, reservations and assigning tables to them all . . . plus anything else I could do to help out. It took hours every day and then I had to run DD to practices 30 minutes away. That took another 3-5 hours out of my evenings and weekends! I'm just now getting caught up. But, it was a huge success and our group made a nice bit of money to fund future chorale scholarships, costumes and transportaion to out of town events. I've only had a few minutes here and there to check out some of the posts here and haven't taken ANY pics of my Christmas decs yet. I've enjoyed what I've seen here, though. I wish I had the time now to take some of my own, but I'm off to wrap presents. I bought a frozen lasagna at the grocery store in town today so that I could have an easy dinner for us and spend more time wrapping gifts. I've picked up some great little decs on my trips to town and hope I can show you them soon. Anyhoo, I'm adding a pic I took at the Madrigal Dinner of DD and two of her girlfriends. There were almost 60 singers in the madrigal, from grades 1-12, all in Medieval-style costumes. I had to blur out their faces for safety and privacy reasons, but my DD is the blond on the left. She only looks tall because the girl next to her is short. Emily's only 5'7". Thanks so much for thinking of me, Jaybird. It's good to know that I was missed :~) Lynn

I saw your thread...what ship were you on? Was it one that has a future booking desk? Sensation didn't have that. :-( Sure looks like you had a great time! I soooooooo want to introduce DH to cruising! But he has his heart set on Alaska. *sigh* Alas, that will be summer 2011. We gotta save up a ton of $$ for that! I hear the excursions are awesome and we MUST have a balcony! And Carnival assigned us another PVP after I first booked with Cameron. ?? Guess they like to spread it around OR maybe it has do with where vacations are from. Not sure!

Hey Miss Glenda...Glad you're OK...although i mostly lurk...(For many many years now) I do worry about the KT Peeps... praying for everyone that needs prayers, laughing at all the jokes, cooking the good recipes, ooooing at all the beautiful pictures, Crying at all the saddness, smiling at all the babies, and worrying about all the ones that go missing for any amount of time!! So you just ponder away and I pray that the decision you make is the right one....Thanks for checking in!! Cherie

Glenda, I know you didn't ask for advice, but I admire you too much not to give it. Have you tried one of the lights that mimics sunlight? (I forget the name of it.) Otherwise, please see a doctor if your depression doesn't lift soon. There's absolutely no shame in that and we all hate to think of you being down for any length of time. Do you remember when one of the older Sixty Minutes guys--Mike Wallace, I think-- was interviewed about his depression? It came out of nowhere and wouldn't leave him; treatment helped a lot. I hope you feel better very soon.

I was wondering where she was too. She probably has that same cabin fever like I do. All this cold weather is getting us all down.

I find I get "seasonal" depression every winter. I hate the snow, the cold, the shovelling, driving, the darkness. I just stay indoors, spend a lot of time at KT and wait for spring. It disappears when the days get longer. Good luck, Glenda. Hang in there! Spring is coming!
