No posts from Glenda for the past few days, is she on a cruise ship somewhere?

Been in a low mode. Kinda depressed! Been sleeping a lot, and just don't feel like talking. Have posted at some threads.

I'll bounce back! I hope.

I saw your thread...what ship were you on? Was it one that has a future booking desk? Sensation didn't have that. :-( Sure looks like you had a great time! I soooooooo want to introduce DH to cruising! But he has his heart set on Alaska. *sigh* Alas, that will be summer 2011. We gotta save up a ton of $$ for that! I hear the excursions are awesome and we MUST have a balcony! And Carnival assigned us another PVP after I first booked with Cameron. ?? Guess they like to spread it around OR maybe it has do with where vacations are from. Not sure!

Those that were quarantined had room service and yes, there's a percentage before the ship has to go back to port. The quota for our ship at least 66 before they considered going back, and we only had 40ish with the flu. And the ship kept mentioning disinfect your hands after using restroom and coming back on board. AND YES, there's nothing like getting into your own bed. I slept for over 14 hours, off and on.

Mama G got married or at least she is trying to make all her neighbors think so. That new man she met at the buffet has moved in with her and they are currently living it up on a cruise ship in the Mediterranean. She will be back ASAP but may be in no condition to post.........She told me not to let out her secret but that her life has taken on a new meaning but she wouldn't stop long enough to explain. She said she is already desperate for new lingerie...............She said that she was in touch with a few others and to tell you privileged people to feel free to share her messages so come on now and tells us what she told you.....

Thanks for asking! 8 days total, including one nite in Miami, to make sure I don't miss the ship this time! Using my credit that Carnival was holding, from failed cruise last year, so the only the only amt I had to dish out was for insurance. Going on Carnival Triumph (newly renovated), from Miami, to San Juan, St Thomas (Christmas Eve), St Maarten (Christmas Day). With a balcony, on the top deck, close to pools, activities and FOOD :o) And YES, I heard from Ginger and we are going to meet for tea before the ship leaves Christmas Eve. Yea!

Glenda, I know you didn't ask for advice, but I admire you too much not to give it. Have you tried one of the lights that mimics sunlight? (I forget the name of it.) Otherwise, please see a doctor if your depression doesn't lift soon. There's absolutely no shame in that and we all hate to think of you being down for any length of time. Do you remember when one of the older Sixty Minutes guys--Mike Wallace, I think-- was interviewed about his depression? It came out of nowhere and wouldn't leave him; treatment helped a lot. I hope you feel better very soon.

I was wondering where she was too. She probably has that same cabin fever like I do. All this cold weather is getting us all down.

I find I get "seasonal" depression every winter. I hate the snow, the cold, the shovelling, driving, the darkness. I just stay indoors, spend a lot of time at KT and wait for spring. It disappears when the days get longer. Good luck, Glenda. Hang in there! Spring is coming!
