Good wishes for the safety of all in the paths of these storms. It is windy in Tupelo, but nothing more for now. Some areas nearby received quarter sized hail. I have my hidey-hole ready, with a chair, radio and water. The cat plans to join me there if necessary. All of you take care of you. Rosebud

I'll miss our very bright and cheery Cape Cod home which we've decked out south Florida-style with lots of colorful plants and light green paint with white trim. Our house makes us SO happy when we're inside but alas it doesn't so much when we look around and see that we're the only ones keeping up our house. Walks around the neighborhood have become so much of a downer. Our new house is a 20-minute walk to the white sand beaches of the Gulf and the neighborhood is so quiet you could hear a pin drop. It's a tiny old beach house and it's just itching for our cottage touches. I can't wait to see what we'll do with it, so I'll miss our house but look forward to trying out some new landscaping! Jane

This dumb white rosebush from Kroger or the like. Kids got it for me for Mother's day one year. I kept it nice outside, assumed it would die with the winter and I'd be done with it. Nope! Come spring, it roars back with growth. I ignore it, after chunking the whole pot/paper/decor in the back of my butterfly garden (very busy spring/summer). The dratted thing is STILL THERE and thriving come fall. And winter. And the following spring I potted it nicely and made it a spot where it sits. And thrives. And I just don't like roses!! Eventually MY mother took it for her garden. At least it's loved there.

Arrived home later this afternoon, Sunday, and have the FLU~

Had to be wheel chaired around the airports headed home.

40 plus had it on our ship, and one of ours was quarantined.

Glenda, how sorry I am to hear about your flu. Four of us got off the Island Princess this past week. The other gal and I both had it, but it was just toward the end of the cruise so we didn't miss too many days. She was quarantined for a day and she was much sicker than I. There weren't as many hand sanitizer dispensers as I thought there should have been. We were both over it in a couple of days.

Hope you perk up soon, Glenda.

Good golly! I hope you didn't have it the whole trip. Take care of yourself and feel better real soon. We were hoping for a more joyous return.

Oh, I hope you weren't sick with the flu the whole time. And I hope it isn't really that nasty norovirus. The cruise line doesn't have to reveal that's what it is if there is less than a certain percentage of the total passengers sick with it.

Whatever it is, take care of yourself and drink plenty of fluids so you don't get dehydrated.

Glenda, I am sorry you got sick and hope you are soon well. I was worried about you when I heard about all the sickness on the cruise ships. Hope it didn't ruin your cruise. Check in when you feel better. Hugs!

There's no place like home in your own bed when sick. One of the cruise ships here had a norovirus outbreak 2 weeks ago and delayed departure last week so they could sanitize the ship. Hope you are better today!

Poor Glenda! That's just awful!! I hope your whole trip wasn't ruined and sure hope you feel better soon. The only saving grace is that you didn't have to walk miles around the airport and have to handle your luggage.

Is someone bringing you food so you don't have to get out?

So sorry, Glenda, for you to be down it must be bad. Wish I were closer to bring you soup and solace.

At least one ship is in quarantine, one of the Princess ships returned early last week due to the Noro virus. It really does give one pause.

Those that were quarantined had room service and yes, there's a percentage before the ship has to go back to port.

The quota for our ship at least 66 before they considered going back, and we only had 40ish with the flu. And the ship kept mentioning disinfect your hands after using restroom and coming back on board.

AND YES, there's nothing like getting into your own bed.

I slept for over 14 hours, off and on.

That's terrible. Feel better soon. I hope you got to enjoy the first few days of your cruise before falling ill.

Sorry you are sick and especially during your cruise. Hope you get to feeling better soon. There some stomach thing going around here and I think I have it. Was at work yesterday and had to take some Immodium. Thought I would have to go home early.
