I talked to my DDIL, Dir_tyFingernails, tonight. She asked me to tell all of her friends here at Table, hello from her. As her hubby, radio dokkktor posted, she had her first series of chemo last week with this week off. She went into work today, and plans to do so as long as she is feeling up to it. I have to tell you all, she is my HERO, with her courage and strength. Dottie

Good morning Moni. I heard you hollering helloooo from the kitchen. LOL Sorry, I've been busy trying to get ready to meet some friends for an early lunch today and then an afternoon of wig shopping. My dear friend was diagnosed with stage 4 adenocarcinoma lung cancer about 5 weeks ago. She's only had one chemo treatment and is already losing her hair and wanted some company in trying to pick out a wig. I don't know how much help I can be, but I'm there. Problem is her 3 DDs and their families are due in town tomorrow and I'm helping her get prepared for her company's arrival. They all want to be here for her 2nd chemo treatment Monday. When will you be headed back home? Maybe we can catch a bite or a cup of coffee on your return trip. Let me know.

I'm glad she is feeling well enough to work and hope she doesn't come in contact with anyone who is sick. Her immunity won't be as good as it normal would be with the chemo. Still it is nice to keep a normal as life as possible. I wasn't allowed to work when I was on chemo but then I worked in a hospital where germs ran rampant.

And a big hello back to her! With all on her mind and still going back to work! Hope it takes her mind off things and I'm still looking for 2009 to be far better for her and everyone else!
