I'd Like to Share My Daughter's Wedding Pictures

The wedding was Sunday...Valentine's Day! My daughter was married for almost 14yrs. to a b@stard that I'm not 100% wasn't a spawn of Satan! My grandchildren are the only good thing(s) that came from that union. She finally threw in the towel..and divorced him. Then about a year later, God sent this guy into her life. He has step in and been wonderful Dad to the kids, a wonderful companion for my daughter...and I'm not 100% convinced he doesn't walk on water! lol

I had a dream way over a year ago that my daughter and him would get married...I was standing AT the wedding! It was SO real it was like watching a movie. I told her then they WOULD get married...so this was literally "a dream come true"!*S* It was a small wedding..but it's what they wanted!

These aren't the greatest pictures, but it's hard to snap pictures and wipe tears at the same time!! lol

may i be blunt.. with all due respect .. and all good intent .... AND THANK FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY ... i did this myself ... IT WAS THE WORST SUMMER OF MY GARDENING LIFE .... i spent all summer stressing over the flowers .. like i didnt have anything else to worry about with EVERYTHING ELSE about the wedding ... ever have a hail storm in august in MD??? i dont understand if you are planning on doing all the flowers.. or just some ... what i ended up doing... i found a good florist who was willing to work with me ... we ordered what we needed with the understanding that i would bring all additional flowers that i could to add to it all ... it did end up working out very well .... but that was because i had a failsafe plan ... PLEASE DO THAT FOR YOURSELF ALSO ... you cant call florists a week before the wedding and hope you can find someone to cover for what ma nature did to your garden ... i ended up taking 5 five gal pails with about 100 EXTRA roses ... it ended up being wonderful .... PRIORITIZE AND DECIDE IF THE DAY OR TWO BEFORE THE WEEDING.. YOU WANT TO SPEND IT COVERED IN DIRT IN YOUR GARDEN.. or decide whether there will be about a million other things that will be more important ... like the dress .. the food.. the hall ... the honeymoon packing.. the guests.. the rehersal dinner ... the.. the.. you get the idea ... i wish you and your daughter all the luck in the world ... ken PS: is she thinking this will save money ... or out of respect for you [from your bio i suspect it is the latter] .... the money and labor you put into it all would be better spent by you by actually buying the flowers and adding some floral goodies .... this should be about you and her and her wedding .... not about your garden ... and being about as hardcore in the garden as you seem .. i had the rehersal dinner in my garden ... after rehersal .. we all just met back at the house and had pizza and relaxed ... i got all the accolades i needed for the garden ... and it helped relax me for the big day ... i keep rambling on ... sorry .... thanks for bringing back a part of my wedding that i let slip out of my memory ... men arent supposed to well up about all this .. are they????

LOL @ SharonH! They would be a very nice looking couple! Nicole (younger DD) graduates HS in May. She's not sure what she wants to do but currently her thoughts are either bartending or working with disabled children. She works at a camp in the summer for children with moderate to severe physical disabilities and finds it interesting and rewarding. Bartending, on the other hand, "would be cool" and she feels she could do really well with tips (and sleep late, too). She now waitresses and likes food services. She was severely hearing impaired until age 8 when she had her last restorative hearing operation - we fondly refer to her 'bionic ear'-lol. She's currently hearing at almost 100% although will need another surgery or two.

To my x-wife's credit she agreed to consuling and too remain commited to raising our children together rather than apart. Sadly (regretably) things didin't work out. As for my children and how they feel, I know both clinically and from first hand experience how they feel, and I even know what their pattern's of behavior are, which is why: I've given up hope to any meaningful relationship; and question why I should even bother with "tradition" like this wedding. We all know that "traditions" are a long-established or inherited way of thinking or acting. Perhaps by going to this wedding there is some hope that these time honored events will provide an opportunity for some closure. God knows it's sorely needed. Lastly, if by chance I've failed to address or satisfy a question, or simply didn't agree with one's opinion, then let us part company with the knowledge that we can agree to disagree. I"m going to go and fix a hot cup of tea and I will drink that tea in honor of all of you, but most of all to Imamommy whose brush has put some color into the tapestry of my LIFE. Please join me.

like you, i was so glad when my sil divorced dh's brother...she too, met a wonderful man who was a great father to the girls...sad to say he passed several years ago. but at least the kids were out of college...

I loved the wedding photos! Nice looking couple, for sure. I like it when weddings are about the marriage, not the wedding. (Maybe our family penchant for modest weddings is showing. LOL!)

My daughter has 5 children..3 boy and 2 girls. Andy (my son..her brother) gave her away! Even THAT was part of my dream!

Your daughter is lovely and your granchildren are all so very good looking. I didn't realize that they are already teenagers! Isn't that a fun age???? The love your daughter and her husband have for each other is very evident in those photos! Best wishes for a long and happy marriage!

I loved your pictures! You have GORGEOUS Grandchildren!! Your daughter is breath taking and she and her new husband looking amazing together. The picture of their hands together that you called "A perfect fit" gave me the goose bumps. I love their cake, simple yet beautiful.

That was just beautiful....loved seeing Andy walking his sister down the isle.
I watched it as a slide show, and couldn't help but remember how you helped me make the video for my sister.

Your daughter is beautiful and the groom just was so in love, you could tell by his eyes and the way he looked at her. My best to the newlyweds!

Thanks everyone!! The 3 tall,slim boys are hers!! I'm not in any of these pictures, because I was the one behind the camera!lol Several cameras were flashing..so I may be in some of those shots. I'm waiting to get copies of those!

My daughter is adopted and she did "take after" her birth parents.They're both tall! Usually, I just tell people we fed her Miracle Grow when she was little!! LMAO

LMAO Suzan!! I'm surprised no one else noticed that!! No matter how well planned and rehearsed..there's always at least 1 "oops" at a Wedding. This was theirs!! They didn't realize it until AFTER the ceremony and I asked to see HIS band.(I'd seen her rings already). He held up his right hand to show me and I said "Are you going to wear it on your right hand"? He looked funny and Christy about fell over and quickly fixed the "problem"!!

And they said they weren't nervous!!! Yeah..right!!! lol

I Thank God everyday that this wonderful man entered her life! I told Christy if he didn't marry HER...I was gonna ask him to marry ME! I was determined to keep him in the family!LOL

I also told Christy that some people marry for love...some marry for money..but Danny married her because I was going to make such a great Mother-in-Law!!! My MIL set the example of the perfect MIL from the day DH and I married. If I'd custom ordered my MIL..she still wouldn't have been a wonderful as the one I have!

What a great wedding. As everyone has said, they look so happy. That cake is just beautiful! I like how they were plated instead of being stacked.

If I'd custom ordered my MIL..she still wouldn't have been a wonderful as the one I have!

As a relatively new mil, tell me what made her so perfect. I want to be "perfect" as a mil also. My own mil wasn't a very good expample. :(
