Guess what.....

I WON!... I WON!!... I WON!!!

I got it this morning ( Saturday )... Ann's hubby made it especially for me... lol

Well, OK, Ann had him make it for the winner of the drawing " for not cheating " in the June Swap... ( Oops, at least I * think * Ann's hubby made it ??? )

Isn't it beautiful !

It's perfect and perfection takes time... First they had to select a suitable piece of Vancouver Island Big Leaf Maple and rough cut it... Then they had to wait for it to dry in the kiln, ( Ann says they have their own kiln now. ), cut it to size, shape it, cut out the hole, sand it and sand it and sand it some more then apply a finishing oil and sand it again and add more oil... Whew... That's a lot of work... But that's not all...

Ann hand wrote a very nice letter on Thibeault's Table Culinary Art Collection stationary, slipped the cutting board in a bag, put both in a huge bubble wrap lined envelope, addressed it, added about 12 yards of cellophane tape ( lol ), took it to the post office and shelled out big bucks to send it Insured Priority Mail!

Ann, thank you, so very much... You've made a tired old lady very happy!

Wow, that is truly a work of art! Ann and Moe make beautiful boards, in fact I was just looking at them on her website yesterday. Lusting after every one, of course!

Yes David & Jqpublic, They are reruns but when you are a gardening addicted person who cares if they are. Each time you watch them you may get some info or ideas you might of missed previous. Six, ten, 20 years ago my ideas and style have changed and sometimes there is inspiration in others styles. So for us who can't get enough...get your coffee ready or Tivo. But you have to admit is the only true garden show showing on HGTV these days.

Years ago, a close friend, who served in the Navy brought back this corral and a few other underwater stuff, when he died his wife gave me a lot valuable things he collecTed, her plants. I kept their estate clean, leave blowing, plumbing, you name it, including a large stained glass transom for their front entryway. I like your house color as it is; very craftsman-like. I do think the garage doors should be painted so that they do not stand out and call attention to themselves. I think your front porch is lovely and should be where our eyes want to go. I definitely agree with Patricia...white is not a good choice for this home.

Rita, it's gorgeous! I also have been guilty of lusting after Ann & Moe's boards. Don't be afraid to use it.

It is lovely!! It's is very special that it's an AnnT and Company creation. I love the grab hole. Only CF peeps could get so excited over a cutting board!

Wow, I wasn't expecting it to arrive until early next week.

Rita, I hope you enjoy using your Board. It was made by Moe, just for you.

This finally brings the last swap to a close. If there is enough interest, I'll do another swap early in the New Year.
